Lovely hotel and perfect for our family of 12 and you couldn’t get a better location right in the heart of lovely Bowness. Staff friendly and breakfast was good and made to order. Cosy doubles are small for the price (clean) but you are paying for the location of this hotel. Shower was great! Really enjoyed our stay. The photo is from a lakeside bar, stunning!

We paid £47 for a pint of beer and a malbec wine. A fish bap off the light bite menu served with chunky chips. I had scampi with chunky chips for an eye watering £18. Absolutely shocking food. We have been coming here since 2001 when in the area. Won't be returning again

We recently spent one night at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location close to the lakeside, a bus route from the railway station and only a short walk from the local bars and restaurants. Our room was was on the ground floor of a separate block which meant that we had no window but instead had to put a curtain across the glass door to have any privacy, unfortunately the curtain didn't quite fit. The room was clean as was the bathroom but the furniture and general décor was rather dated. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we had already booked elsewhere but the breakfast was very nice.

This was a very pleasant experience. Better than we could have hoped for. The weather helped of course which meant we could make good use of the beer garden after shopping. Great position. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back at some point.

Great location, lovely outdoor garden, staff during our visit were not very friendly, they appeared morose, miserable and not engaging. Overall this did not spoil our visit as the location was great and the weather beautiful during our 3 night, four day stay.

Lovely position. Staff good. One lady in particular was amazing. Breakfast was brilliant, couldn’t be better. Table/ Dinner Menu content a little disappointing. Was unable to have light bite/ salad after 5 pm.Only able to access half the menu after 5pm. Rules very rigid on this.
