The hotel is located halfway up the mountain beside Lake Windermere, with a view of the lake. The whole villa is very beautiful and the service is very good. The room was heated and not very cold. It is worth staying a few more days next time.

The hotel is good overall, but the lawn outside is not as big as in the picture. It takes 20 minutes to walk down the mountain from the hotel. Bowness town is at the bottom of the mountain, and you can take a boat. It is better to take a taxi back at night. Once, there was no street light on the second half of the way back, and I felt the "dark night". The names of the hotel rooms are named after the towns in the lake area, which is quite interesting. The hotel includes breakfast (Ctrip shows that it does not, but it is actually included in the local area), and the dinner I ordered later was also delicious and exquisite.

My husband and I stayed two nights at Lindeth Fell hotel in Windermere en-route to Scotland. On arrival we were warmly greeted by a delightful guy called Harry who was so helpful and informative. We had an excellent room (albeit a little small) but the cleanliness and quality bed linen overshadowed that. The restaurant served excellent breakfast and dinner. We also met a delightful ‘waitress’ called Emily and nothing was too much trouble for her l feel that both she and Harry are great asset to a wonderful hotel and in one word “Faultless”. I would highly recommend this hotel to the most discerning of travellers.

This hotel provided one of the warmest experiences my wife and I have ever had in 50 years of traveling together. The setting, room, staff, food, drink and local activities is as good as it gets. The friendliness of the employees was exceptional, especially from General Manager, Harry, who did everything possible to make our four days enjoyable. I would recommend Lindeth Fell to anyone who wants to be pampered and spoiled.

A beautiful Arts and Crafts style house, set in picturesque surroundings and with easy access to Windermere and Bowness. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, without being fussy. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was comfortable, with a lake view, and was tastefully furnished. All meals were excellent, and the options, for a small hotel, did not disappoint. My wife and I had a lovely three nights here, and would not hesitate to go back!

The most amazing place. Had the perfect stay. Harry, Ben and all the staff went above and beyond. Attention to detail is second to none. Food was amazing both breakfast and evening meal. The little extra touches made this the best place we have ever stayed in we will be back ASAP.
