Its meant to be a luxury-ish short weekend getaways before my job starts as my partner can't take a long leave.
The delux double room is a huge disappointmemt.Understably, it is a very premium location and other guest probably pay a lot more. However, I wouldn't think of paying over £300 to get a room feeling like a old day servant's room. Being placed at the roof extension room with the view mostly blocked, the floor makes the typical old wooden cracking noise as we walk. The curtain, carpet and bathroom are not in the best condition. The glass on top of the table and desk are not well fitted.
Another thing is that, without any previous notice, the spa closed foe maintenance the morning we leave. The fake plants make it look less luxury than its branded.
The plus side, it is kind of inclusive which the spa pool, gym and breakfast are included. The breakfast is quite nice if you like English breakfast or they have some basic buffet.

My wife and I had the most wonderful trip to Bath to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel met and exceeded our expectations. The whole time we were there was tranquil and just so lovely.

Thought I’d book to make it easy to watch my nephew in the Bath Half. What an amazing hotel. Such beautiful surrounding, excellent staff and my room, there are no words! Thank you all for making my stay outstanding. As I wasn’t feeling well I had dinner and breakfast in my room - this did not disappoint, delicious food and perfect service. I look forward to my next stay 💕

Great hotel. Spa could use updating. Concierge needs to cater to guests. They were no help in organizing anything during our stay. We’d ask them to book a restaurant— they said the restaurant would contact us… we ended up just booking it ourself after no one contacted us. What is the point of concierge if they aren’t assisting you with booking items for your stay. They also were no help with booking a tour guide. Aside from concierge, the rooms and grounds were great, the restaurant is updated and staff is great in there.

…sadly, not worth £450 night. All the staff were lovely and efficient. Our room was in the attic and as the lift was broken, a pain in the ass to get to. The room was cold, but well furnished. The gardens are lovely and the bar nice. Dinner was ok, but a little dissatisfying in terms of portion size. Breakfast was plentiful but the black pudding was dry as were the sausages. Look, this is a lovely hotel but worth £100 less per night

Fantastic couple of days at this amazing hotel for our wedding anniversary. The room was beautiful and all the staff really helpful and friendly. We ate in the hotel one night and the service was impeccable and we were recommended an incredible wine we hadn’t had before. Can’t wait to go back again.
