Very nice room. No elevator, although only one story up. Beautiful terrace, excellent service. Unfortunately, family with noisy children next door. The bed was 180 CM, which we very much appreciated. Writing more to satisfy ridiculous Trip Advisor minimum word requirement.

Wonderful historical place. As part of Relais & Chateaux, Le Moulin de l'Abbaye definitely meets outstanding standards of history (we stayed in a 13th century building) and luxury. We also had dinner at the Michelin star restaurant and had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it.

Séjour parfait ! L’hôtellerie est aux standards relais château , la chambre avec vue sur le pont coudé est magnifique et calme. L’accueil est professionnel et chaleureux .La table est exceptionnelle ! Le menu est 7 temps regorge de produits nobles. La présentation est spectaculaire et le service irréprochable. Le petit déjeuner servi à table est digne des plus grandes tables françaises. Malgré une météo maussade, nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel !

Very pretentious. They insist they park your car ( retaining the keys) and then you discover the next day they had no idea how to start or drive it ( giveaway manual open on passenger seat). Beautiful setting.Rooms very small. Surprise Michelin start menu was a surprise with some of the courses still frozen inside, explanation given that the fridge is not behaving properly!! no suggestion that a reduction in the hugely overpriced meal should be given. In summary very expensive and not deserving of the pretensions given. I would not return

EXCEPTIONNEL ET C’EST PEU DIRE. Excellent accueil dans un cadre exceptionnel. Chambre très agréable donnant sur la rivière avec superbe salle de bains . Quant au dîner par un chef étoilé Michelin il est exceptionnel et de très grande qualité. Le personnel est très agréable et tout y est de très grande qualité. On a qu’une seule envie …celle d’y revenir !..Établissement de grande classe où on se sent très bien. Une merveille à découvrir….

Precioso sitio para disfrutar de un descanso en la Dordoña. Las habitaciones familiares son amplias, muy cómodas y con una decoración en tonos suaves muy relajante. El desayuno es muy completo, pan brioche que no deben perderse, fruta y un rico café. La ubicacion al lado del río es inmejorable.

We were upgraded to a large room in the building opposite reception. It was spacious and interestingly furnished. We had access to the gardens and restaurant in the main Moulin building. Staff were extremely attentive, and spoke good English. They parked our car in a cave, which kept it nicely cool! Right next to the historic Abbaye with its curious caves, it's a short walk to all the restaurants and attractions in beautiful Brantome.
