"This place appears to have been a Brantome “destination “ for many years. It is well run by an efficient team with a nice pool and very good restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and it is centrally located though not by the river, There is safe parking available. A nice place to stop and we’d come again. I didn’t give 5 stars as there is an element of efficiency rather than charm in the ambience but maybe that’s me being picky! The cost overall is very reasonable."

"We were very well looked after by all the staff who went out of their way to help with mobility problems of one of our group - with especial commendation to. NIcholas who sorted out a forgotten case with great efficiency on a late Sunday evening, and which arrived the next morning!We can’t thank him enough! The hotel is absolutely charming, with the restaurant terrace by the water wheel and weir, and bistro Fil de l’eau by the riverside. We stayed in an annex, a short walk or golf cart ride away in a beautifully restored room (more like a suite) in the Abbots House, and a balcony overlooking the river. Thoroughly recommended!"

Used it as a base for forays into the area.i would go back here anytime. The host Dany is very customer focused. Helpful with everything. Can’t speak highly enough about him"

"Stayed here for 2 nights in early July with my husband; Positive aspects: convenient location, easy to find. Good secure parking and very welcoming. We arrived a little early and were able to access our room. Room was small but good value for the price. Close to town and lovely walks from hotel. Less positive: hotel is a little worn, pool is small and feels very exposed, right next to restaurant. Room was very hot and fan gave little relief. No tea, coffee or water in the room. Breakfast offered poor choice, bread, pastries, jam, a yogurt and some fruit. A slightly wider offer of cheese, eggs or cold meats would have been welcome. It’s carbs or carbs! We ate dinner there both nights, food was ok but nothing special. Overall, this is a budget hotel and it’s good value."

"We were driving through France and were recommended to see Brantôme. We booked this hotel last minute, it was lovely, room spacious, comfy bed, hosts really friendly and a great location. Didn't use the pool as it was early March but in the summer they have a lovely terrace . Dinner was fabulous with good local wine. Breakfast average."
