Clarion Hotels in Bratislava I

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is near several of the most famous attractions in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is also a step away from the old town. The hotel lobby is nice, the rooms are small, clean and comfortable. The only thing worth improving is the lack of a bigger one Desk and chairs, it will be inconvenient when you need to work with a computer.

Visiting Bratislava for first time. Wedding anniversary so asked if any chance by email of an upgrade. Generously gave us an upgrade to a suite. Mrs T mightily impressed with the room and facilities. Staff all friendly. Breakfast brilliant with lots of choice. Interestingly bread and butter pudding which we think used yesterday croissants and pain a chocs. Absolutely delicious. Had a small issue with the bath tap. Reported and fixed while at breakfast. Fab service. Location very central with bus and tram stops nearby and can walk to old town in 10 mins. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Staff sent very good instructions on how to get to the property from the station which was appreciated. Short walk from the bus. Staff friendly and welcoming, we did have a few issues with the room booking but it was resolved. They take 10 euro deposit in cash which was returned easily on check-out. Room was clean and bathroom too, had everything we needed but was very very hot (only 1 fan). A free drink voucher was a nice touch and the bar was cheap and sociable. Easy walk into the main town for tours etc the next day. Stored bags for us, kitchen looked good although we didn't use it. Very close to a large Tesco store for groceries/snacks.

Hotel was very close to train station so very useful for me. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful and spoke great English. The room was smart enough but could have done with cleaning out before we got there as the floor hadn't being swept. Reasonably priced and a good sized community room down in the cellar. Would stay again in this hostel however Bratislava is a place I don't plan on visiting again. Overall good experience of the hostel

The location is great, in the old town area, but not at the centre spot, which gives it a slightly calmer vibe. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean, and I like that there is no carpet in the room. The bathtub had consistently hot water, it was nice. Breakfast was okay, with basic selections for this price range of hotel. The car park has a residence rate for overnight parking, but it doesn't show anywhere; you need to ask the front desk.

This is a serviced apartment very close to the city centre in Bratislava, and it was very reasonably priced. Please note it is not close to the train station (it's about half an hour walk if you want to try) but it's only a short hop away by tram. As it is quite close to the city centre, you can either go there for food or there are lots of restaurants nearby and some of them are quite good as well. The room was big, clean and bright. It has one big window, (mine was away from the street so it looks out to the back but the next building is still quite far away so there is still plenty of sunlight coming through). There is a kitchen and utensils (including a kettle if you want to make coffee or tea). The building has laundry machines that guests can use (I didn't need to use it but I think you do need to pay). The staff speaks very good English and friendly so they can be quite helpful if you have any questions. I didn't need to ask any as my stay here was faultless really. It would definitely be on my one of the choices of place to stay when I'm next in Bratislava. There are some things to note though. You probably won't be able to check in until after 2pm. I arrive early and had to wait for my room to be ready. They do have a luggage storage service free of charge though. I can't remember whether they have daily cleaning but I think they don't have daily cleaning from memory which is fine. I'm not a messy person by nature and I'm not that obsessed with hygiene so it wasn't an issue for me.

The front desk service was very good. I also took the initiative to pour a glass of local Slovakian white wine. The iced taste is sweet and refreshing. There are a lot of small biscuits and juices and fruits in the lobby that you can enjoy for free at any time. Two heart-shaped chocolates are placed on the quilt in the room. It is very warm and thoughtful. Breakfast is not bad. Good sanitary conditions and spare parts are the most I have ever seen in Europe. The location is a bit far from the old town, but Bratislava is not too big and can be reached within 15 minutes on foot. In terms of its price, the overall value, the next time you come to Bratislava will book this hotel (.◝ᴗ◜.)

I couldn't fault the staff and ease of check in/out. All very pleasant saying hello or goodbye every time we passed. I loved the location as it was less than 10 minutes walk to the old town. A minute walk to Blue Church and very close to some good restaurants and the Nivy bus station, a 15 minute walk. It's about half an hour walk from the train station. ( Bus 61 from airport to train station €1.20 each for a 30 minute ticket. Journey takes approx 20 minutes. Buy tickets from yellow ticket machine at bus stop and validate the ticket when you get on the bus) We had some great daytrips on Flixbus to Vienna and Brno. So very conveniently located It was also good value for money. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel but you could pay around €11.60 each They did have a fridge near reception with drinks and snacks. I was happy with the location of the room as it is described as an internal room. It was relativity quiet. No street noise. Maybe the odd noisy resident but they are on holiday. Not a problem at all. It does look like the hotel owners are slowly trying to modernise the place as the private bathroom / toilet was clean and the shower was adequate with plenty of hot water and modern flooring there was a hairdryer, soap and towels. ROOM 101 The room had a TV with local tv channels. There was an option for Netflix which we came across by accident so if you have an account you might be able to watch Netflix. We didn't bother. There was a kettle with cups, glasses and a couple of sachets of coffee./ green tea. A unit with hangers (not really a wardrobe) but it was OK and a chest of drawers in the hallway against a locked door. I do like a fridge which was clean and a bonus as I wasn't expecting the room to have a fridge. The main bedroom itself seemed large enough until you tried to get into the double bed ( two singles pushed together) Old tired divans. This room might be better as a twin room with two single beds against the wall, left side /radiator, the other, with one bedside cabinet in the middle of the two beds with one lamp. This would give enough room to get in and out of each bed more comfortably. The absolute worst thing was the carpet! It is old and filthy with threads exposed. It needs ripping up and nice flooring laid, similar to that in the bathroom would be lovely. It was filthy behind the fridge, the edges under the radiator and worst of all was under the bed! I've never seen so much dust/ filth in a hotel room before. Maybe because there just isn't enough room down the right hand side of the bed to clean properly! It's inaccessible! The pillows and quilts were also stained but I only saw this when I took the covers off just to help the cleaners before we checked out. I know they say you get what you pay for but I've slept in cleaner youth hostels I have still given it 4 stars because of all the other good points. Staff /location. Located on the Danube River, it is slightly opposite to other hotels, but it takes only 15 minutes to walk to the UFO Bridge and 20 minutes to the old town. From the door to do the tools, about half an hour to the train station, it is relatively convenient. The hotel is a standard 5 star configuration, there are not too many special and no obvious deficiencies. The breakfast is relatively rich and the taste is not bad.
