The Friars

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. Please look at the photos I am posting before you book. Room was simply a disgrace. The staff couldn’t care less and have no pride or sense of customer service. Would not put me in touch with management when I complained and said manger would contact me. I am still waiting after 2 weeks

This hotel is a hell hole the staircase is death trap there was not heating we did ask still no heating do not look at the mattress you will not sleep i was dreaming rats and cockroaches do not be fooled by other reviews do not stay here the owner needs to know this please do not give the owner your money

Literally a stumble into this inn. At 11:30 am, all we want is coffee which the barman delivered in quick time. Whilst the flavour was acceptable, being served in large unheated cups meant the drink cooled very quickly. It is unlikely that we will visit this cafe again.

Disgusting room. We have only just got back from Bridgnorth and we absolutely love the town,bars,food etc. As far as the Friars was concerned it was an absolute disgrace. Ok the room itself was average but the wardrobe door was hanging off one of its hinges and was a accident waiting to happen. Then we went into the bathroom and was greeted with cobwebs af first look. We then looked towards the shower cubicle and in between the tiles inside the shower there was grime,mould. We then moved the shower curtain and noticed the bottom of the curtain was black with mould. I am not exaggerating when I say it really was disgusting. This was in a room on the top floor and we have stayed here before but it was on the first floor and it was a pleasant experience with a nice cosy room. So in the two years they have badly let themselves down by leaving it dirty and not cleaning it sufficiently. On the second day of being here my wife was greeted with two fleas and I also noticed one jumping around on my towel. The owners should be ashamed as it really was a horrible experience but refused to let it spoil our weekend as we are huge fans of Bridgnorth. We didn't complain because we said we would complain on here and let future customers know that this place is to be avoided at all costs. We certainly won't be staying there again. We gave the score 2/5 because of the bar and a vast range of gins etc and the nice cosy bar they have,it's just a shame that the top room was disgusting. If I was the owner and I knew my rooms were like that then I'd be cancelling all future bookings until it was cleaned thoroughly and future ie wardrobe was made safe.

One night stay . Cream comfy room .Plenty of fresh towels and shower gels etc Lovely hot shower , easily controlled. A real hideaway find with a great pub downstairs Just steps away from the hustle and bustle of historic Bridgnorth town centre and market . Highly recommended

Stayed in the triple room, roomy and comfortable beds, shower great, only criticism was the small TV screen, more than made up for by having butty Bach on in the bar which was great and served til late, was here a couple of years ago and will be back again next year

stayed here for a couple of days and was very pleased with my stay nice warm shower comfortable bed very quiet would recommend staying here on your own or as couple within short distance to pubs or anything takes your fancy
