Checked in for 2 nights check in great friendly staff . The room we had should have come with a health and safety warning, when you walked in there was a step down which my partner just managed to stay on his feet . On the door outside we then found a very small sign saying mind the step. The room was tiny and had a foisty smell to it. Also, to get to the bathroom there was yet another large step up to get in . The shower was tiny too and no bath mat so extremely slippy . The toilet was a macerator toilet where I think the smell comes from as there was an overpowering airfreshner in there . To top it off the noise of the road outside was horrendous. The room itself was clean and tidy. After having a fantastic evening meal in the Thalio restaurant we were looking forward to breakfast, a mistake probably the worst hotel breakfast we have ever had bacon like rubber mushrooms deep fried egg Rock hard . Found out the manager was cooking no appology. Next morning decided to just have sausage and croissants on the way out the manager made a sarcastic comment were the sausages better than the bacon not even an appology very unprofessional and certainly will never return.

Great hotel and very comfortable. The food was great in the evening off the Indian menu and the breakfast was so fresh. From the minute I walked in till the moment I left the staff spoke and acted like I was very welcome and they where happy for me to be there. Really does make a difference when travelling alone. The only issue I had was the choice of music. Someone had tried to ruin some amazing songs Thank you guys great hotel.

We booked into the hotel for a stay of 3 nights. When we came back to our room on the first day we found that our beds had not been made, our cups hadn’t been washed and the bathroom hadn’t been touched. On complaining to the bar staff they were very apologetic and asked if we wanted them to do anything, which we declined as it was by now the evening. The second and third days were the same. Someone came to the room around 9 am to ask if we needed any supplies topped up. We thought at the time that this was odd as that usually happens when they service the room. Incidentally we didn’t see a housekeeping trolley the whole time we were there. I understand there are some people who don’t like staff going into their rooms but we are happy for whatever service they wish to provide as what’s the point in going to a hotel in the first place, you might as well get an Airbnb if you want to look after yourselves. On checking out, the breakfast staff were the only people around so there was no point it talking to them. On returning home we emailed the Manager who was ‘bemused’ (?) by our email which we thought was a weird expression to use when responding to a complaint!? According to him we had said we didn’t want anyone to service our rooms!! Why were we complaining then if we’d asked for this - it doesn’t makes any sense?! I replied refuting this allegation and we haven’t heard from them since! On another subject, there was nowhere to put your stuff in the bathroom apart from a very narrow glass shelf. Plenty of room for a cabinet or a decent sized shelf or two and no hooks either. There was a wardrobe in the room but no shelves or drawers so we had to put our clothes on the windowsill. Bridgnorth is a lovely little town and perfect for visiting Ironbridge. There are plenty of other places to stay.

The best thing about this hotel is the amazing friendly service. A lovely young lady greeted us on arrival. Showed us to our room offered to carry our bags. When we returned downstairs to ask about taxis supplied us with several numbers and made suggestions to book the return trip with the driver in case they were busy. We didn’t eat dinner in the hotel as hubby’s very traditional in his tastes and Asian food is not for him. On our return I asked for more tea bags and sweeteners as we are both big tea drinkers. The tea tray did have a great selection with coffee, hot chocolate and fruity teas but only two tea bags and I am definitely a PG Tips kind of girl. The same young lady I asked her name at this point Rhianne bought them to our room. The room was comfy and clean. Beds were lovely. Heating took a bit of working out but any normal person who is used to operating heating controls would probably have had no trouble. The plumbing was a little odd - using Saniflo toilets which do make a dreadful noise when you flush. Not great for those with aging bladders trying to pee quietly in the night then forgetting and flushing the loo! However one expects odd plumbing in a very old building. Breakfast was good - nice to have it cooked to order rather than a buffet which is often mediocre and cold. Unlikely to visit Bridgenorth again but if I did would happily return to the Falcon.

Visiting the area with friends, this wasn’t the hotel I’d originally wanted to book, as we all preferred to be at the same location. However I couldn’t get in there and rather fortuitously found the Falcon. It was an excellent stay, the decor fresh and modern, the room ready and spotlessly clean and the full English breakfast with local produce very tasty. The staff were attentive and helpful too. The price was fair and overall value for money. There was a minor ****** in that the shower head didn’t want to sit properly its holder so it squirted water all over the bathroom when first turned on but as the water was nice and hot and the cubicle spotlessly clean, it was soon forgotten. So an excellent stay and a place I’d definitely recommend. My friends however? Well apparently the hotel they’d booked in another part of town was a total letdown. How lucky I was!

We decided to stay on the spur of the moment. The only room available was a studio at £165 per night inc breakfast. We were assured that it had a king bed (partly true, it was 5' wide but only 6'2" long), a kitchenette and an ensuite shower room. We didn't need or use the kitchenette (in reality a microwave and small fridge). The ensuite shower was a tiny cubicle with no soap dish and barely usable. The bed was uncomfortable. The place is simply decorated and fairly clean but there were two unsecured electric extension cables hanging loose and ceilings so low that it was hard to move around. Next time we'll be going to the Premier Inn at half the price for a better room and comfortable bed.

What a great place to stay … fishing trip to seven and stayed for a couple of nights .. staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food was Indian but superb and different. Rooms where excellent and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel, it’s not overpriced and offers good old fashioned service which is not over the top .. Thanks for making the weekend memorable we are coming back
