Lovely welcome

Unfortunately we won't be coming back. White towels were rough, old and stained with what looked like motor oil, couldn't use them. Mug stained and teaspoon dirty with coffee on. The breakfast was ok, no cereal just English cooked breakfast. Server was nice and friendly. Rooms need severely updating and decorating, wardrobe dusty on top, kettle has seen better days, dirty drawers with what looks like tobacco. Pillows and duvets had to be used but they were heavily stained, smelt of wee on the last night. No chair to sit on. Owner needs to smile, maybe receive some training in customer service to enable the guest house to have some atmosphere. This could be a very nice place, if time was spent on updating, maintenance and cleaning. Floorboards raised and wobbly and a nail sticking out in the bathroom lino. I realise the economic climate is currently shot, but to receive the money you charge, it needs to reflect. The house was warm! I dont like writing bad reviews, so I aim this to be constructive, for the future.

Had a 35 minute wait to get into the property, the owner was drunk & stunk of alcohol, the rooms was absolutely disgusting, urine/blood and possible faeces stained bedding, bed sheets and mattress toppers. Mould in the showers to the point where they're furry! Had 2 rooms booked and both was as disgusting as each other. Entire place was just filthy! The owner got very aggressive wanting to fight in front a young child when he had been made aware of the situation & refund was requested. Didn't stay the night, made us feel nauseous the thought of sleeping there, I can't even imagine what the kitchen would be like! Doesn't even deserve a 1* Don't waste your time, avoid & book somewhere better it's not worth the hassle.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were tasty and generous. Beds comfortable.

If I could have given zero stars it would not be low enough in my opinion! The room was an absolute disgrace - everything from the stains on the mattress to the filth gathered in the shower and toilet. It was a hovel! I had intended eating breakfast there, but the thought of what the kitchen was like, once I discovered the state of the room, made me feel sick. The only reason I stayed was because a) there was a rail strike that day and I had no car and b) there were no vacancies that I could afford at other venues. I really do urge anyone considering staying in Bridlington to avoid this slum like the plague!

The staff were excellent however the room is very standard and the beds not that comfortable. There were a number of hairs on the sheets that were not ours.

The twin room was a good size , needs new mattress topper for the double bed . the bathroom was very spacious , just had a few cobwebs and a bit off dust on the skirting and tile tops . But other than that the hosts were lovely people to get on with , and very polite and ready to help or give advice if you needed it . the full English breakfast was lovely , very obliging if you wanted something cooked a different way . Both my sister and I would stay there again .

Perfect for us and the two guys that run it we’re lovely.

Very friendly lovely breakfast basic rooms for the price not far at all to the spa and harbour would stay again
