We arrived 1pm at the hotel and the reception told us to come back after 2 hrs. However, she suddenly told us there is a room available and gave us the room key immediately hence we were able to check in earlier and rest ealier at our room. We were very happy with their service and prompt arrangement.

Modern hotel. Comfortable and clean. No issues at hotel. Some parts of the walk from train station to hotel are cobblestones walkways so not so easy to roll luggage.

Very close to the Brig station, friendly staff and good size room. However the hairdryer is not working properly and hot water turn very cold sometimes

About 5mins walk from train station. Room is big and clean. Recommended!

The view is great, the small balcony faces the castle and snow-capped mountains, the sunset is particularly beautiful in the evening, you can have a drink. The breakfast is average, with many cold dishes and only eggs and sausages for hot dishes. The front desk is very friendly.

Expensive for what you got. Small room in roof with nice but little balcony. What annoyed me was that despite sending three messages welcoming me they didn’t send useful info like where to park in car park to be only 10m from hotel. Critical is you are disabled. Critically not 10 meters for disabled as there are steps so have a long walk around instead to the front of the hotel . The car park is close public car park but cobbled streets to front of steps to the back. Maybe send fewer messages and say park level 2 at far end and take lift to x etc… also when arrived with mobility scooter why put me in a room where lots of turns and narrow bits whilst next door is straight in and out? And available. Again so surprised that reception is only open 3pm to 4pm.. says short of staff so why not take a rest in afternoon? Switzerland has a different plug socket to rest of Europe.. surely an adapter for French/ German / Italian plus sockets might be useful for travellers ? A little cost to the hotel to lend out? Breakfast was very basic. No English breakfast tea but some greens teas? Maybe I am out of touch with today’s world?

Nice hotel in a good location with overpriced breakfast that we were only told was not included when charged upon check-out (no one was present at 4:30 pm on the day we checked in, and no one for 4 mornings at breakfast said it was not included and that our 2 coffees, toast and jam would cost more than $20 each). So, in other words, a scam.

A very cozy yet convenient place to stay. Stunning view of the hills with great hospitality.

Lovely spacious room, very helpful staff, tasty breakfast. Important to know you can NOT drive directly to this hotel and there is no parking at the hotel. The parking is a block away which is fine if you are pretty mobile with your luggage.

This hotel has zero understanding of hospitality. They are not honoring a prepaid reservation and displacing a family over Christmas. Their reservations team is not only rude but completely incompetent. HORRIBLE

Stayed at Hotel Stockalperhof for 4 nights as part of the Classic Glacier Express Tour (Great Rail Journeys). The hotel is generally unmanned after you receive your key, with the exception of the breakfast service. Rooms across 5 floors with even numbered rooms benefiting from a small balcony that looks on to the mountains. Coffee (pod) machine provided but only 2 pods and after this you have to pay for your own (Coop is 100m away) so you end up eating and drinking out a lot of the time. The bathroom suffers from the shower head being positioned too low to be of any use, with a hose that is too short in many rooms. This does need looked at by the management. The hotel is very well positioned in Brig with a number of restaurants on the doorstep and only a 350m walk from the train station. I personally would return without a second thought; it is the shower that stops this being a '5' review.

Staff Mandy at the reception is sooooo RUDE!!! Hotel should really take it seriously when putting staffs at front desk! Rooms are really tight. But clean. Windows can be opened. However some rooms at top floor are dim because of the slanted attic roof design. You have to be really creative to find spaces for 2 standard luggages in the rooms.
