The room at ground floor is quite old and small. No window and using old door key. No space in the room. The Spa is located in basement with stream room and sauna room. Small swimming pool.

Lovely hotel in a great location for shopping theatre and restaurants and bars, all within 5/10 minutes walk. Spa facilities were good although with very low ceilings, which felt a bit claustrophobic. Our twin room was lovely, not huge but had everything we needed with very comfortable beds.

Great comfort, fantastic staff, beautiful food marred by lack of attention to detail by housekeeping. My fiance and I had the opportunity to stay here for a weekend. It started fantastically with a surprising upgrade in the room, which was only enhanced by the cheerful and, couldn't do enough, attitude of the staff. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was tasty and served in bountiful portions. Thank you, kitchen staff. Our stayed however was marred by the housekeeping staff which appeared to drop the ball with a lack of attention to detail, this was indicated by dusty button holes on the headboard, dirty linen left in shower and the tea and coffee not topped up.

The shower against the window was unpleasant, especially as the window blind was damp and dirty. We also expected to have the small spa to ourselves since we had to book by the hour. Instead it was very busy. The room itself was awkward to find with no signage to help. Once inside it was nicely decorated and the bed was comfy.

Really disappointed with room we were given it was extremely small it was like an attic room no natural light extremely dark very hot as we couldn’t open the windows felt extremely claustrophobic in the room. Are friends also stayed there room was same price but so much bigger really lovely with a bathroom 3 times the size. Was very disappointed in our room. Spa was really lovely and hotel nice just our room was not good at all.

My partner and I have stayed at this hotel what must be 5/6 times now, we’ve had varied experiences with the rooms however this recent stay was the poorest we’ve had. Room 101 wasn’t the biggest of double rooms, quite dark with film on the windows to hide what I can only assume isn’t a good view. It was sufficient for our stay upon first impressions, we dumped our bags, got changed and headed out for dinner. Upon our return we my partner sat on the bed against the cushions, we both quickly smelt what can only be described as excrement. After checking our shoes, the floor, the bathroom, we tracked the smell back to the cushions on the bed. We swiftly removed them and the top two pillows. I don’t know how house keeping have made the bed or handled those cushions and not noticed the smell coming off them. I have reported this issue to the hotel directly via email and they haven’t responded. If you’re unlucky enough to be put in room 101 I’d suggest getting the cushions off the bed right away to avoid experiencing this vile stench!
