Gorgeous hotel with a great bar and restaurant. Fab location and vistas onto the harbour. Handy for transport links too. Good service. Received free upgrade to a Classic Room. Sadly no view except concrete. The bar inside is classy and elegant, outside you could watch the world go by for hours. A very nice Chablis was had.

Stayed at this hotel several times. It's in a great location, is clean & presented very well.
Staff are very helpful & friendly.
Our room was slightly disappointing, as although a good size, the bathroom was quite small, the air-con was noisy & the double bed dipped in the middle.
However, would happily stay here again on our next trip to Bristol.

The hotel was very smart modern and clean. Our room was small but we had booked a standard room. Price was good compared to other hotels locally.
The hotel is right next to the harbour and in the middle of a bustling nightlife. We hadn’t considered this when booking. Although the location was great, the noise from outside could be heard so loudly in our room at night. I actually thought a window was open, but it wasn’t. This went on till the early hours, music, shouting etc, so we found it hard to sleep. The bed was very comfortable though and the room spotlessly clean.
Tea/coffee facilities were provided in our room, an iron and hairdryer were also there. The bathroom had a good shower, towels were provided.
We didn’t dine but I did purchase a drink from the bar. After paying I was told it would be brought over to me. When it was the bartender informed me my card had declined and asked me to pay again. I did, however when I checked my bank later both payments had been paid out. Not very happy about this.
Although a nice looking hotel and great price, due to the noise level at night we wouldn’t stay again. If that wouldn’t bother you the hotel would be a great choice.

Location is good. Takes 15 minutes to get to the station and 5 minutes to go to the city centre.
Looks old building but reception area was fine. Room was just okay and tiny. There is a drawer under TV but it hasn’t closed at all. It kept opening. Also I left message about allocating nice view due to special occasion but they didn’t read and they gave terrible view room. Was really disappointed. Toilet is also tiny when I showered the water has been came out all the time. I don’t think it is 4 star hotel…

We stayed in the hotel in June 2023 for two nights. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and my birthday there and we honestly, couldn't have chosen a better place. The service was amazing ( Rachel ais wonderful) the food was delicious and we had lovely mocktails. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we had for a while and the gentleman welcoming us on the second morning knew my husband's first name! The little touches that make the difference... IT's been a year and I only now found the time to write the review but everyone made our stay so memorable , we still talk about it! Lovely room on the 5th or 6th floor ( can't remember). We will definitely go back with our daughter!

A small hotel bedroom is fine for a night or two, particularly if the bed is comfortable, but it is important that the available space is sensibly used: a chair for each guest, for instance, a luggage rack instead of a glass-topped table, an adjustable reading lamp fixed to the wall rather than a light fitting in a bulbous glass flask taking up most of the space on the bedside table. Maybe the directors of Doyle Hotels have never tried spending a night with their partners in one of their Classic bedrooms. On the plus side, we enjoyed our dinner in the "River Grille" and the buffet breakfast was good apart from the orange juice, which seemed to have been diluted. The staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful, especially when, having partially decoded our incredibly complicated invoices, we found that we had been overcharged. But frankly, we had expected better accommodation.

Great location, professional staff. We were given a room upgrade without asking for one. Overall very clean hotel and we stayed on a Wednesday evening and had a quiet night's sleep. Impressed and will return.
