Lovely hotel in a very nice location - excellent views from the hotel and the terrace overlooking the Avon. Easy to explore Bristol and Clifton, both lovely.

Sack the interior designer. Dull and dismal reception then felt like was walking into a morgue with the dreadful pull put drawers. Obviously the pull is location but overpriced and underwhelming. Small room, £279 plus breakfast extra! Breakfast was presented well but £22 extra.

Booked junior suite for £240 a night with breakfast inckuded. Was hugely disappointed in standard of the room and would NOT recommend. There are 4 junior suites, clearly one has a bath in the room and looks far more luxury (which they advertise with) but it's a lottery which one you are allocated. The "garden view" was of a stone pillar and some concrete slabs (see photo), the access is unmarked to the room down some slippery steep steps (see photo). Sadly they haven't thought through lots of aspects of the room - the cups provided for the Nespresso are too small and over flow...(See photo). What I cannot photograph unfortunately is the plumbing noises - room is at the bottom of the building and you seem to hear every rush of water of toilets flushing above you and baths draining etc. Was a slightly rude waitress at breakfast who slammed plates down and walked off without asking if we needed anything else (was hoping to get some tomato ketchup). Sadly not asked how our stay was when checking out.

We had a great view of the gorge. Superb bathroom and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and we had supper in the restaurant Saturday night, which was excellent. Lovely local area of Clifton and close to the suspension bridge. Highly recommend this hotel, friendly staff, and we hope to be back.

The bed was two singles pushed together which is fine if you want to stay on your side of the bed. The room is very small. Bathroom is nice It’s clean The bar and reception is lovely. We didn’t have a view of the bridge which I imagine would be amazing. The view from the terrace is amazing and although we didn’t eat, the food looked good. The location for Clifton is great. Overall, I thought it was overpriced for what it was and the bed is not comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and obliging from the point of our arrival. We hadn't booked a twin room but they helpfully found us a suitable room and sent housekeeping directly to arrange it as a twin. What lovely staff housekeeping were! Our room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom superb, with L'Occitane Toiletriesan added bonus. Coffee on the terrace was an added bonus for March. The green scheme might provide refresh water and toilet rolls automatically is my only recommendation for improvement - we didn't wantbto attend reception to ask for extras.
