Generally speaking, this was a good choice for our family of 5. Location was perfect and made accessing the surrounding attractions painless. The reception is sparkling and reminiscent of a high-end hotel, but once we stepped into the apartment, my opinion began to change. On the positive side the apartment was spacious and easily accommodated the 5 of us, but even opening the front door, it was extremely musty inside, not sure exactly when this apartment last had people in it. Moving on, we settled in, parked the car in our allocated space, and began to put together a shopping list for the next few days, let's check what we have in the way of cooking utensils etc. we found 3 frypans, two manual, one electric, all not non-stick, the two manual frypans handles were barely still affixed to the pan. Let's have a BBQ! Wait, no tongs? The sharpest knife was a steak knife, and no grater either! Moving on, by night 1, we had burnt through most of the 'Welcome Pack'' (2x dish soap sachets, 2x dishwasher powder sachets, 3x sugar sachets) so I headed down to reception to ask for more. Keeping in mind again, there were 5 of us, booked for 5 nights and paid upwards of $3k. I was informed that the sachets were our Welcome Pack and as it was self contained any more than that, we were expected to buy our own, begrudgingly, she gave me one more dish soap, dishwasher and sugar. The 'Queen'' bed in the main bedroom was 2 singles just pushed together, and not exactly conducive to a great nights sleep as a result. We filled the very small rubbish bin under the sink very quickly, but didn't dare ask for another bin liner given their previous attitude. We wound up disposing of garbage in our 15c Woolies bags. Not worth buying bin bags to fit their specific bin for 5 nights! I decided to gamble on different staff members to get more dish soap etc. to see if maybe it was just a grumpy staff member, but no, same spiel again, seemed to be their policy. Would I choose here again? Not likely! I would have forgiven the dodgy cookware and lack of utensils all in trade for enough dish-soap and sugar for a family of 5 for a week. Very silly policy when about $2 worth of sachets would have made all the difference to a $3k stay. (note - we did eventually find one non-stick fry pan and one extra bin liner)
