Booked an apartment in Hamilton, Newcastle for 3 nights and had the booking confirmed. When we rang the venue the day before to organise parking (as instructed in booking confirmation) we were advised our booking had been transferred to Noveau on Young in a different suburb entirely. Not happy but didn’t have time to sort it at that point. The allocated apartment had a broken bed, broken dining chair and other damage. Despite reporting the broken bed and other damage after the first night and having someone come and look at it, the bed was never repaired. Needless to say we didn’t sleep well for 3 nights, with one half of the bed having broken legs, creating different heights and a gap down the middle. The kitchen wasn’t well equipped and saucepans etc hadn’t been cleaned. Newcastle Executive apartments, who manage these properties, seem to have no idea of customer service, shunting people into properties they haven’t booked and not attending to essential maintenance. Not happy!
