What a find, a lovely classic hotel overlooking Blackheath absolutely perfect for our visit to our daughter who lives nearby. Really kind and helpful staff, from Josh who helped with our luggage on arrival to all reception staff, restaurant and bar staff thank you for making our weekend so comfortable and enjoyable. We stayed at the Crown for two nights when attending an event at Brands Hatch which is an easy 20 min drive away. The room was comfortable and in good condition. The inn is set in a leafy residential area and is very quiet. The food at dinner and breakfast was very good with attentive staff who were very efficient, a lot of them having worked there for many years. We would particularly mention the acting manager, Liam, and Theresa who served us at breakfast. we would have no hesitation in staying at the inn again if we were coming to Chislehurst again.

We always stay at the Lion & Key when we visit London and have been fortunate enough to stay here again in October, December, and also January for my husbands 80th birthday. This really is the ”Savoy” of the small hotels in London and we always know without fail, we will have the most perfect stay. All the staff genuinely care about their guests having the best experience and you cannot fault the care and attention to detail that this hotel takes to ensure an excellent customer experience. They have a great team of which we would like to thank Giorgio, Kanti and Stephania for making all our visits a home away from home. The rooms and also public areas in the hotel are kept pristinely clean and are bright and cheerful. I love the attention to detail this hotel has even with the smallest thing. i.e. the shower cap in the bathroom also has a small hairband in the box ,which is excellent if you have long hair and can’t find your own! The beds are also extremely comfortable and we both always have an excellent night sleep. We love the open kitchen where you can see all the food being freshly prepared and cooked to order. They are very generous with their breakfast time which doesn’t end until 12 o’clock lunchtime. The choice and range that they offer in their restaurant, regardless of breakfast or main meals throughout the day would accommodate even the most fussiest eaters, which I am, but even I am extremely spoilt for choice as the breakfast menu is so comprehensive. The quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant is first class and so is the time and care in presentation which also reflects the pride that they take. We can honestly say that the breakfast’s we have at the L&K are the most tastiest, freshest, consistently perfect breakfast’s we have ever had and far exceed the quality that we have experienced over the years in 4 & 5 star hotels. To be honest, we often wonder how they continuously provide such care and attention to detail for the customer, even more so since Covid as many many hotels and restaurants seem to still use this as an excuse for a less than perfect service or menu range. We must’ve had over 100 of breakfasts since we have been coming here in 2018 and the eggs are always perfectly cooked with a lovely orange yolk, regardless of whether it’s a normal full English breakfast, or my husbands favorite the Egg Royale. We very rarely eat sausages or bacon at home, but the quality and taste of the ones here are amazing, so we always, always enjoy our breakfast which set us up for exploring all day. The transport links to this hotel are excellent as well. There are four buses that go past the hotel to Leyton underground, one of which is running 24 hours and they seem to come by every few minutes. Stratford is only four stops from Leyton so excellent connections for overground, DLR, O2 etc. Liverpool Street is the next stop along for even more connections so the location we find is a great asset to wherever we

We recently stayed here for the London Marathon 2022. We chose this hotel as the location was very close to the DLR station and very easy to get to Greenwich which was near the start. The hotel is hidden away off the main road but was very welcoming. Jeremy the Reservations manager looked after us and made our stay really lovely. We stayed for 3 nights and had a room on the 6th floor. The room was small but really cosy and quiet. Maybe could have done with a fridge in the room and some extra storage space but other than that an excellent stay. Breakfast was fabulous and on the morning of the Marathon extra food was put on and we could do down much earlier so we could digest our food before the run. Would stay again.

Parking was easy, check-in swift and friendly and my room, as usual at this hotel, was clean, comfortable and very well presented. The server at dinner made sure I was happy with the table location, took my order, was engaged in her work and demonstrated great pride in her efforts to ensure customer satisfaction... the food and drink were both very enjoyable and filling too. The same can also be said for the breakfast team and content. Although it is of the buffet style the selection is wide, environment spotlessly clean and the team constantly busy ensuring everything is fresh and plentiful. Also, omlettes are cooked to order as a house speciality, yum! This hotel and it's staff are a gleaming example of how to make its patrons feel valued whilst not simpering or smothering guests. We stayed at Ibis Budget Barking on one of the hottest nights of the year. The air-conditioning worked brilliantly, so we had a much better night than friends who stayed at a much more expensive hotel in central London! We were attending an event at The University of East London SportsDock. It was very easy to get to - just a short walk to the bus stop by Tesco, a 19-minute bus journey which took us very close to the venue - so Ibis Budget Barking is ideal for anyone wanting to go to something in East London. The front of house staff were very courteous and helpful. I have rated this 4 rather than 5 as a kettle ought to be a standard offering in all rooms (in Ibis Budget Portsmouth we had a kettle). But, all in all, an excellent budget location.

Hampton by Hilton is enjoyable to stay in , so wonderful it’s staff, but my experience I had was when I went to have my breakfast and there was shortage of seats, sat on one but disgracefully removed by an old white lady who claimed the seat was kept for her and the husband. It was very distasteful, especially when they have a full house when everyone is having their breakfast. I belittled and disrespected. I thought the tables could have been cleaned when they are dirty after use, but on this occasion, the dirty one were not cleaned but there were very much not enough tables left.

I really liked Hotel Love and Peace. It's very clean, very neat, very calm. The service staff is very good at keeping clean, very hospitable and very attentive to their visitors. This Hotel will be loved by all those who decided to take a break. This place can really name: Love In Peace.

I would like to say a Big Thank you to Lira’s Team in Travelodge Barking I.e. Khatija, Isa.Rif who made my stay comfortable and helped me due to my disabilities. I found Lira and other member of staff very polite, friendly and understand customer needs. I would highly recommend to use Travelodge and guarantee to value your money. *****BZ ****
