Good room, good staff, remember to bring your own toiletries though

5 mins walk to the tram/metro stop. Clean, and very good breakfast but the bed set is top old.

Good experience!

I booked the hotel because it was close to a friend's house. After checking in, I found out that this hotel is very popular. The breakfast is also good. It's very convenient to take the Green Line subway into the city.

First up, the breakfast is excellent! There's a whole lot of choice for everyone. There's also enough of place to sit and the breakfast area is not cramped for space. The location is also very good as its quite near to the Alvik bus/train station. A grocery store ICA is also located very near to the hotel. Unfortunately, the rooms make the rating go down. Scandik doesn't have air conditioning in any of their hotels. They have some kind of an air regulation system which is centrally controlled which means that one can't do much individually in the room. Also the windows cannot be opened at all. So during hot summer days, this makes some of the rooms extremely hot if they are located in areas receiving a lot of sunlight. I visited Scandik Alvik during such a summer time and it was extremely uncomfortable. Our room was hot compared to the other rooms my friends and family were staying in. The staff did their best to help us out and move us to a different room after 4 uncomfortable nights but it was still a dampener. The other issue is that kettles are not available in all the rooms. My room didn't have one and when my wife contracted a cold and needed warm water to soothe her sore throat, no kettles were available. We got one only after 2 days because only a few rooms have kettles. There's no mini bar or fridge either. I guess my issues arose due to the heat - maybe in cooler months, these things wouldn't matter.

This hotel was family friendly, we stayed at large Superior family room for an affordable price. No noice from other rooms/outside. Nice Scandic quality breakfast. Close to Alvik metro station, easy to communte to city. Close by couple of coffee shops and ICA.

Breakfast to go was awesom. The staff was all around execellent. Our first choice for incoming Stockholm visits.

Easy commuting to Central Stockholm, fair parking price, amazing breakfast, large rooms and friendly staff. The room fare was higher due to Taylor Swift's concert in Stockholm, but I searched for other days and the fare is fair.

Spacious room, clean. Rather expensive for being a weekday. Nice staff. Nice breakfast and great lunch. Nice suburb. Spacious areas, safe surroundings, restaurants nearby. Hotel parking right outside. Recommended.
