Breakfast was great, but for other food dinner or lunch you need to book much in advance as also the guest from outside are coming.
Welcome was not really nice, we just get the key and room was shown, but not even told when the breakfast is, what to do around the hotel, where is the pool, sauna etc.. This is expected from that kind of "heritage" hotel.
We have been in more than 200 hotels all around the world, but this is not a hotel with a good price/performance. Rooms are old and needed much renovation, there are a lot of ants all the time coming from every hole in the room. Worth 60-80€ maximum per night for two.

Feels more like a true boutique B&B. Wonderful food - breakfast as well as their highly regarded restaurant. Also dinner at their informal place nearby was great. A wonderful boutique hotel experience that provides a sampling of Istria. We also found the location to be great - just a short drive to some of the key towns (Rovinj etc). Some nice nearby caves etc. We were amazed at how reasonable the Michelin level dinner was.

Ricavato da una coppia di vecchie case ristrutturate all'ingresso del gradevole paesino di Verteneglio, è un posto tranquillo e piacevole lontano dall'insopportabile affollamento della costa istriana. Ha un bello spazio in un giardino/uliveto con un'altrettanto bella piscina. Nella sostanza poi le camere non sono niente di speciale, tra l'altro nella nostra l'aria condizionata era del tutto insufficiente, almeno per il clima di agosto. La piscina l'abbiamo trovata spesso al completo (sdraio e lettini tutti occupati), e questo non deve succedere quando si pagano 300 euro a notte B&B per una camera quasi basic, un prezzo a mio avviso non pienamente giustificato. E non ho ritenuto di spenderne altrettanti per cenare in due, anche se questo è il vanto dell'hotel.

A nice boutique hotel in true istrian style….we had a menu of 4 courses, everything was excellent and the best was dessert and pre dessert .the restaurant is fine dining it is a bit more expensive… my recommendation

Went for dinner (did not stay at hotel). We have been many times but not for a couple of years and it is even better than before with new menus (before the menu did not change much from one year to the next). One of us is vegetarian and there was a separate menu which is a real positive. Both of us thought the food was excellent in all respects. The service was also excellent under Ivan and his team. We will be returning.

Un vecchio casolare rinnovato e trasformato in un hotel di charme 😎✌️ sulla collina di Verteneglio in mezzo ad alberi di olive e fichi nella pace più assoluta ma a 5 minuti dalle affollate spiagge di Umago Salvore e Zambratja… un posto dove “liberare la mente” con un ristorante segnalato Michelin (merita la stella secondo me) ed una piscina fuori dalla folla dove rilassarsi gustando i migliori vini della zona … prezzi consoni alla qualità 👍

We tried about 7 different courses. The main course was exceptional - it can be served in any Michelin star restaurant. Other courses were good but they lacked a wow factor that best fine dining restaurants have. One course was a bit flawed or not suited for me - I didn't finish it. The ambient is very romantic and green (garden with olive trees, fruit trees...). The olive oil they make is flawless as well as the bread.

Spend there 3 beautifull days. Sun, pool and peace, what more do you need. Perfect little butique hotel you will enjoy. Afternoons at pool they bring every guest plate of fresh fruits. Breakfast was so good. So much to choose from. We had a amazing dinner at their restaurant at hotel. They have the largest amount selections of wine. Room was nice, cozy and bed was great. Can't wait next year to come again. And our dog had a great time with us there.
