We regularly visit towns. In this case Brugge. This is a hotel found that is the value, appearance and authentic as no other. I will never even talk about the hospitality and the warmth that Hans and his wife have made us experience as guests. A room where nothing is missing. Extremely clean, air-conditioned, separate toilet and bathroom. The facility is realized with respect and sensitive love for the history of the building. I appoint the beautiful chairs, the bed with history to Italian Lucca. And with modern adjustments of this time. Regent shower, double glassing, LED TV and feature furniture. The extensive breakfast is served in the oldest part (14th century) of the hotel and not only by the countless breads, insecticides, fresh fruit but even without breakfast is an experience. In short, fantastic and we will certainly come here.. - Come back.

The hotel is in the perfect location to visit and experience all that Bruges has to offer, it is literally 2 mins from the Belfry and the main square. We drove to Bruges and used their secure underground garage for the duration of our stay. The rooms are basic but very comfortable, the bed in particular was very comfy! We had a very small balcony overlooking the road, which was lovely to get the atmosphere. We would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room and there was no iron / ironing board (although they were available from reception is needed). The bathroom was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water for the shower. Although the hotel has a terrace, you can’t use it past 10pm due to noise restrictions, so we moved inside and were served by the stand out star of the hotel for us… Vlaktko the excellent bar man. He makes the best Moscow Mules! He was friendly and attentive and went over and above to help us. We found the check in / check out service to be a little slow. Overall, I would recommend this hotel without hesitation, it is just perfectly located and if you stay then say Hi to Vlatko!

We stayed here overnight during a brief visit to Bruges. We chose this hotel because the hotel was centrally located and the building itself was charmingly renovated with nice views of the city and it blended in nicely with the ambiance of the historic center. It was also very close to the tram stop from the train station. Most locations of interest are within a very short walking distance of the hotel. The staff was accomodating. The room itself was clean, quiet, and comfortable and we slept very well here. Our room did not look out over the canal but had a very very nice city view from the top floor. The room itself is small but pleasing. The breakfast was very average but satisfying. We paid €12 per person and thought it was worth no more than that. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again when in Bruges due to its central location and its charming ambiance.

The hotel is less than 2 kilometers from the train station and close to the attractions. It is quite easy to find it along Google Maps. The hotel has a nice setting and it looks like a very emotional hotel. The room we stayed on was on the first floor, so as not to walk up and down. The toilet and bathroom in the room are separated from the wet and the wet, and the sink has two basins for washing. The bed is a bit too soft, and people with low waist may feel tired after falling asleep. There are no slippers, toothbrushes and water in the room. Please pay attention to this. Basically, the rooms are relatively large, and a good hotel for a day or two, after all, the price is relatively cheap.

We stayed here for four night and would come again. Room was lovely and the bed incredibly comfortable! Loved the pillows. House cleaning were great. Only criticism of the room is sometimes the upstairs guests were a little noisy and to operate the hairdryer you had to permanently grip/hold down the handle to work it (no on/off switch) so with my long hair this was a little arduous so I would recommend bringing your own in future. As others have mentioned it is an annex to the hotel where you check in and have breakfast etc. breakfast was amazing and very generous (you helped yourself) and I didn’t mind walking to the main hotel. Only minor criticism was the check in process we struggled to initially understand where we had to check in and the intern checking us in accidentally presented us with someone else’s details but all was fine in the end. Good location to use as a base also. Overall a lovely, clean and high quality hotel that we would recommend and return to.

I’ve recently returned from a holiday in Belgium during which I spent three nights staying at the less than impressive Ibis Brugge Centrum. Due to travelling with a friend I didn’t stay at the hotel in Bruges where I stayed when visiting the city in November 2022 and unfortunately stayed here at the Ibis instead. We arrived and checked in just after 3pm. I hadn’t been in my room long, and was just sorting out my luggage before going out, when the bedroom door was opened and a man walked in, the hotel had given my room to a second person. The man went off to reception to get a different room and I followed shortly after to complain about the error. The staff on reception were casually apologetic but told me that these kinds of errors had been happening since a new computer booking system was installed and treated the who issue as though it wasn’t a big deal. I’m aware that implementing new computer systems are never without problems, but in a hotel I would have thought that trying to ensure that the room booking system doesn’t issue a room to multiple people is a pretty basic requirement. As a woman travelling alone it is not a pleasant experience to be in a hotel room and have a stranger walk into the room, it would have been terrifying if it had happened when I had been in the shower or bed, and for the remainder of my time in Bruges I never felt relaxed when in the hotel room. After making my complaint to reception I returned to the room to find that the key card no longer worked. This happened again on my second day at the hotel after a day of sight seeing, and after my previous experience left me wondering if the room had been allocated to someone else while I was out. Even without the experience of the room being allocated to someone else I wouldn’t be planning to return to this hotel; the shower ran cold more than hot, the bed was not comfortable with the mattress feeling like it needed to be replaced, there were only two sockets in the room, one of which was partially blocked by the curtain rail (due to the room being on the top floor the ceiling sloped near the window and the curtain was weirdly hung at an angle), there was mould on the wall beneath the hooks in the bathroom and just a general need for refurbishment. My friend spent the first night in the hotel unable to sleep due to deep vibrations which she assumes were from a nearby generator. The floor was literally shaking. She changed rooms for the remaining two nights of the stay and got the impression that she wasn’t the first person to have complained about the noise problem in room 211. Positives are that the hotel is easily walkable from the train station (although you will be dragging your suitcase over cobbles) and breakfast was a reasonable spread.

Clean and sanitary, the location is close to the railway station and the urban area, there is a small place over there and you can go there in a while. The single room I ordered was less than 500rmb. It feels very good as soon as I go in. The crush on the reception talked to me for a while. I especially envy that I can travel to many European countries. She has not been to China and wants to go out.

Spacious comfortable rooms in a beautiful building. Situated at the edge of a pretty, quiet residential area, the hotel overlooks a square, and is across from the Concertgebouw Brugge concert hall. The hotel also has outside seating in the back in a quiet garden. There are shops (food market, drugstore, bakery, cheese market, specialty food and more) and several cafes and tea shops just a few minutes away on Smedenstraat It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the center ”touristy” area around Grote Markt etc. We were very happy to be staying away from that busy area. Very helpful staff.

You get what you pay for. We have just got back after 5 nights here. They changed the sheets once and the towels every day. It was clean and we had BBC1, BBC2 and ITV1 on the telly. At €9 the breakfasts are okay- very basic. The rooms are small, and storage is inadequate. The slightest level of clutter will make your room look a mess. There aren't that many plug sockets and two of them are hard to access. The lavatory has a good flush and the shower is efficient. It cost €350 for 5 nights, and staying in Brugge for that is pretty cheap. Suss out the buses to and from the centre. Night buses run from Stadshouburg at 22:00 and 23:00, saving a bit of a yomp back when you will almost certainly have eaten, and may even have had a few drinks. You will want to do some culture. The museum pass bought while flashing your Brugge card which the hotel will give you will cost you €28 and it will pay for itself if you only go to see the Flemish Primitives at the Groeninge and have a look around the Gruuthuise museum.

Decent location if you want to be near the train station and don’t mind a short walk to the town. Access to the hotel on foot is slightly confusing at first as you have to go through a large car park, but it is very close. We stayed for 2 nights. Generally staff we interacted with during the stay were polite and friendly. They were happy to answer questions and help us book a restaurant. The common areas of the hotel are lovely and modern. Free lemon water is provided in a dispenser in reception along with Biscoff lotus biscuits. The bar is nice for a drink before heading out for dinner. The room wasn’t huge but ok given we were going to be out most of the time anyway. No robes or slippers were provided - which we have had in other 4 star hotels in Europe. Also, the plug socket on one side of the bed didn’t work. The room has a nespresso machine (though only disposable paper cups are provided). Although the machine did the job, the plastic tank where the water goes was cracked and there was no lid. Someone needs to regularly go around all the rooms and check everything is in good order. The shampoo/shower gel products are lovely and they do actually provide bath salts which many other hotels don’t. But we had to give feedback regarding the cleanliness and replenishment of toiletries. The floor in the room and bathroom needs to be vaccumed properly as I could see there were a few crumbs and things (when we first entered). When I asked about this they said it gets done before new guests check in but not daily thereafter. The tissue box in the bathroom had one or two scrunched tissues sitting on top of it(?) Just fill the actual box up! This hotel isn’t a bad option for Bruges but don’t go in with super high expectations. As we were there for a short trip we didn’t get too hung up on things but really the attention to detail in respect of the rooms needs to be improved for the price.

GGuest UserObviously, the owner of the property, Jason, has put a lot of thoughts into furnishing it and has taken great pride and care in its upkeeping. The property is located on the quieter side of the old town but is anyway just about a 5 minute walk to Markt. The room is well appointed, spacious and clean. The breakfast prepared personally by Jason is sumptuous and tasty. A fantastic stay!

GGuest UserWe loved the Dukes Palace. We had no idea of its history but the palace structure, the layout and the large courtyard hinted at the opulent life of its former inhabitant, the Duchess of Burgundy who presided over the area in early history. It's a marvel what they had done in terms of creating beautiful rooms out of the palace space. The location was perfect, right on one of the main commercial streets in the old city center. They had elegant corridors, well-decorated spaces for informal lounging. The rooms were tastefully furnished. Breakfast was good, with an egg station. They brought coffee to you in nice porcelain containers. And interestingly, they had slabs of white, dark and milk chocolates that you could cut pieces of. This was pretty unique. All the staff were courteous and very accommodating. My wife complained of an unpleasant smell as we would come out of the hotel - but not sure what that was - cat's poop? The pillows were too large round and hard - my wife complained but they didn't have any other type.

GGuest UserWe visited Bruges for the first time earlier this month and came across this hotel which looked good online so we decided to go for it. We were definitely not disappointed! The service of all of the staff we met was amazing, very friendly and eager to help and have a chat with you (in multiple languages). The bar man in particular had expert level knowledge of local beers, gave some good recommendations of places to go including marking it on the maps and we had a nice chat with him for a good couple of hours while enjoying his drink recommendations at the bar. The room was very clean and a good standard with plenty of room for all of our things. The pool facilities were lovely and clean and very enjoyable to use. The breakfast was tasty and even when busy the staff were quick and friendly. It was also a very accessible hotel as there were ramps over the small stairs and elevator access to the higher floors. To top it off the hotel was also only a 25 minute walk from the train station and less than 5 minutes walk from the main square so an excellent location. We will definitely be telling our friends about this hotel if they want to visit Bruges and will return here ourselves in the future.

We had two rooms here for three nights between Christmas and New Year. The hotel is really very good, it is looking a little tired in places and the rooms are quite small and in need of updating (ours had some damp/fungal patches on the ceiling) but the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water and the breakfast was great. It is ideally situated 3 minutes walk from the underground car park and 5 minutes from the market area. If I'm in Bruges again I will very likely stay here again.

GGuest UserHotel is located very close to the highway, creating a lot of noise. Place is a bit outdated. Our family room was fine. Beds are OK. Everything clean. TV with international channels. Bathroom with shower in bath (curtain) so be careful as slippery. We liked the breakfast which is in buffet form including pancakes; good bread etc Terras with snack and beer offerings. Some are a bit pricy. Parking at hotel at 5 EUR/day Little half hour by bike to Bruges center or 15 minutes by car. Very friendly staff at reception.

This city is particularly beautiful. It is recommended to stay for at least three days. I stayed for two days and it felt a bit short. Love very much... Hope to go again if I have a chance. The hostel is so-so, but there is nothing special. The main thing in the hostel is luck. The quality of the roommates in the same room is very important. Some make noise in the middle of the night. Some keep kneading plastic products at six in the morning. The mental state and mood of the two days

GGuest UserWe had room 107 on a first floor. Equipment is basic. What I spotted immediately was the dirt in the bathroom - black hairs in the corners of a white floor. Bed sheet had a hole (looked like from cigarette). What was great is the location - few steps to city centre, 10 min walk to main square. Also bathroom was kind of modernized, good shower. What was very bad is the bed. A nightmare. We had double bed with 2 single mattresses and a topper. Mattresses were running to the sides with every movement, and topper falling aside. Bed sheet was not holding on mattress at all. So each morning we woke up feeling broken and with totally destroyed bed... Quilt was very warm and there was just 1 big for 2 people, would prefer 2 single quilts. And the room was incredibly hot. We could not sleep. Hotel certainly deserves some renovation. And hire cleaners that do care, please. They e.g. throw away bottles we had on a table, that we needed. Although we left all trash at the bin or near it so it was clear what was intended to be thrown away. What I also did not like was that they changed our towels each day even if they were not used. Please think about the environment! In general I noticed in Belgium they don't care much about trash separation, in most places there are no extra bins for plastic or paper, that is sad. We did not try breakfast as 18 eur per person is a lot. Reception staff was friendly. When I see pictures from this hotel posted by hotel management, I see nice modern room, and that is very unlike the room we had stayed at.

GGuest UserStarting with the positives: 1. It was clean 2. The ladies in the breakfast room were lovely and friendly. 3. Breakfast was limited, but reasonable for the cost of the room. 4. The beds were comfortable, up to a point. 5. Towels were changed daily. 6. There was a lovely view. The negatives: 1. There was no seating in the room apart from the bed. So the view was harder to enjoy. 2. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. 3. Storage was 2 clothes hangers on the door. 4. No shower gel, etc., just a small soap bar. 5. The heating was limited to 19°. There was a €150 euro fine if you increased the temperature, or you could pay €50 per day for additional warmth. 6. The bathroom arrangements were not the best if you were a couple on their first trip together - fortunately, we weren't. 7. The decor in the room was tired. 8. The corridor was missing parts of the laminate flooring. 9. Everything such as tea, coffee, hairdryer, and toiletries came at an additional cost. 10. The list of rules that came with the room felt oppressive and unwelcoming. Overall Experience: It was a budget hotel, and I have no problem with that being reflected in the standard of accommodation. However, when you have flooring missing, limits on heating temperature, regardless of the temperature in the room, and no basic provisions, it feels less like budget and more like contempt for the customer. The rules came across as draconian and unreasonable. The tiny pillows? Couldn't they stretch to normal size pillows? Or not charge for extra? Yes, it was advertised as having an unstaffed reception, but when there's so little effort being put into making you feel welcome anyway, it just seems to reflect a general lack of care for the customer, rather like the missing flooring. The breakfast room ladies were lovely, though.
