Had a really great time staying here. First of all, the hotel and rooms are very eccentric - this place definitely has a lot of soul. All our needs were covered. The place was clean. The staff helped with absolutely everything we needed and they were super cute. Such sweet personalities! Will for sure stay here again whenever i go back to Bucharest. Thank you so much.

I booked this hotel for a couples retreat in the city. When I arrived to check in everything was going well….until I was asked “are you American?” Then I was told there were no more rooms and they would arrange for me to stay at the Scala Boutique hotel. (Look for my review of it. I recommend it over this one). So I can’t review my stay, but here is my review of my experience.
The Hotel is absolutely beautiful and once I was inside the gate on the property I was in love with the building and that continued into the lobby. It is stunning.
The surrounding area led to a lot of concerns. There is paid public parking around the corner but even the receptionist said “I wouldn’t park in this neighborhood, even the paid parking”. The street in front of the hotel was completed removed for repairs which made finding the hotel a challenge. The neighborhood is not nice at all, and I didn’t notice anything in the immediate walking area. If you don’t have a car, and you don’t plan on walking anywhere, this hotel could be a great place for a romantic stay.

The hotel is an immaculately restored 150 year old mansion on a quiet tree lined street, walking distance to the centre. The common areas are fantastic and you have an idea of the grandeur when you walk in and see the sweeping wooden staircase, antique furniture and artwork. There are only about 12 rooms, all furnished with period furniture. We had a lovely room on the first floor, with gleaming parquet floors, high ceilings, floor length drape curtains, a marble tiled bathroom and an array of comfortable, classic furniture. Breakfast was a good selection of traditional Romanian fare, served next to a cellar room that had genuine suits of armour flanking a gigantic oak trestle table! You'll want to take loads of photos. Staff were excellent - helpful and friendly. It's an amazing deal for less than £100 a night!

The hotel has great character- very old and beautiful , everything inside fits the style of the hotel and they have taken great care to make it like that. Small, boutique hotel so we always felt well taken care of, Oana at reception was great to recommend places to eat, trips to make . Breakfast was also great. Really enjoyed our stay there.

The room was amazing, huge with the highest ceilings. The only issues were the wooden floor was SO loud that if you walked on it at night, your partner will wake. Also, the room was astonishingly warm.
Staff were amazing, shout out to Oana - you could not ask for nicer, funnier and more helpful front desk staff!
