The hotel's breakfast is very simple, just two croissants, a hot drink and a juice, and you need to pay for the rest.
The strangest thing is that we checked in on the afternoon of January 1st, but the final bill showed that we added multiple breakfasts, totaling more than 40 euros. When we informed the front desk that we did not consume this, the front desk service Personnel SZONJA said she didn't know either. Because that day was not her working day, I don’t know who added it. so she
Szonja could only refund us 20 euros, which seemed very unfair.

We stayed at the Baltazár for four nights and it was an amazing and wonderful experience. The hotel is situated in the castle district amongst some fantastic architecture. It is within a few minutes walk of the fisherman’s bastion and Matthias Church. All of the staff made us feel completely welcome and ‘at home’ particularly Daniel. Our room was very clean, peaceful and comfortable, and was serviced every day. The breakfasts were lovely, we upgraded from the Frenchy breakfast on a couple of mornings. The only point to note is that there aren’t many other bars or restaurants to choose from in this area, most of which are closed at around 7:30 in the evenings. This means either a walk or taxi ride to Pest. However, we would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to visit Budapest again.

Everything needed. A large room and bathroom with underfloor heating, really friendly staff in the lovely restaurant and a quiet location near to the castle. Great for site seeing and sunsets overlooking the river and city.

Baltazar Hotel is a great, cozy hotel! Our suite was on the top floor with a private terrace and was nicely appointed, comfortable, very quiet, clean and offered a view of the top of Matthias Cathedral (especially nice to see it lit up at night) and the Mary Magdalena ruin. The staff were all very nice and helpfu. It's located right on a busline that comes every 5-10 minutes so it's so easy to get around. We ate 2 dinners and all of our breakfasts there at their attached restaurant downstairs. All the food was really delicious and fresh. If you eat dinner there, save room for dessert! The somloi sponge cake is heaven!

Baltazar is a luxurious and intimate hotel; friendly and helpful staff, both hip and cozy interior, very good bed and quiet at nights. Super location in Buda and easy public transport to Pest. We recommend to eat at this hotels restaurant, we had our best meal in Budapest here.

Very nice room and very friendly personnel (receptionist and waiters); the food is also very good (grill specialists). Location at the north end of the castle quarter. Going down to and up from Pest is made easy by the 'castle buses', but you have to watch out where they will stop and will finally go. Bit of a headache is the material construction going on around the museums (here the best the National Gallery), but the hotel is far away from it. You can park there- do not be frightened by the gates and the police when going up, just grab a ticket and go through.

If you enjoy Complaining about things do not Come to this hotel... It was a delight from start to finish and I Can not reComend it highly enough from the room to the staff. Location is quite subjective but being up on the hill with great views and peaceful evenings suited me perfectly.
