"The hotel boasts an excellent location right by the Danube River in Buda. It's very close to major attractions like Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle, all within a 10-15 minute walk. In the evenings, strolling along the Danube is a must, as the scenery on both banks is absolutely beautiful. There's also a bus stop less than a 5-minute walk away, where you can buy single-use or multi-day travel passes, which is incredibly convenient for independent travelers.
The rooms, while not spacious, are clean and well-maintained. However, I wouldn't recommend booking a room with a balcony. The balconies are small, very close to neighboring ones, and lack any partitions, meaning zero privacy.
Breakfast was decent, and the Greek yogurt was particularly delicious. Plus, on the ground floor, fruit tea and hot water are available all day, which was a very convenient touch."
"The only positive aspect of this place is its location — it's conveniently situated. However, everything else falls short of expectations given the price. The facilities, service, and overall experience do not meet the standard one would expect for the cost. Disappointing overall."
"Decent hotel overall! Cleanliness is okay. Some blemishes here and there but overall fair.
Location is excellent a located right next to Keleti train station for easy city access
Service and amenities were good, standard hotel amenities and services, staff can speak english and are very nice and friendly.
Recommended"
"This is a really great hotel. The facilities have a wonderful sense of history, and it's very clean. It's a shame I only stayed for one night, but I'll definitely come back if I have the chance."
"I had previously emailed them requesting a room with a good view, and indeed, the hotel assigned me a high-floor room directly facing the Parliament building. The transportation is very convenient; there's a taxi stand right outside, and the metro station is only a few hundred meters away, making it easy to get anywhere. However, European hotels are generally quite small. If you don't have high expectations, it's certainly acceptable, though the hygiene was a bit subpar – there was a spider that seemed to have been living there for quite some time."
"Really friendly staff and we were able to leave our bags before check in. Fantastic location right next to the Jewish Quarter, with buses, tram and metro directly outside and a 5 min walk from the ruins bars. It’s also right above a LIDL which had a bakery we could get breakfast from. The rooms are basic and there were no toiletries in the room, and a bit of a sewer smell, but we’d paid about £25 per room per night so I really can’t complain for that price!"
"Hotel was OK. I booked bigger room and was nice. Breakfast also OK. I read some negative reviews and is true, the bathroom need update. Also environment in hotel have some limits, eq. dirty elevator. Many info what is prohibited is doing unfriendly feeling. Eq. they gave me sign paper, where was indicated ”food from restaurant is prohibited to bring to the room - if explored, will be fined by 8 EUR”. Later I understand - the meaning was food from breakfast, but statement like that can make misunderstanding - could be better explained. Generally I liked hotel, also was walkable to city center."
"Hotel had everything we needed and the staffs were really nice! It is also very near a metro station, supermarket, and good food.
Only down side is that the carpet is slightly stained (might be hard to maintain), otherwise all other facilities was really clean and nice. Also note that it might not be for light sleepers as the road sounds are loud and every hour you’ll get big honking/sirens wailing."
"I recently stayed at this hotel and truly an outstanding experience from start to finish, The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful
We stayed there during my husband birthday and when we returned to our room ,we found a beautifully chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us!!!
along with a personalized birthday card from the General Manager. It was such a heartwarming gesture that made the celebration extra special.
The hotel attention to detail and committed to guest satisfaction are truly impressive!!!!
We will definitely be returning.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a comfort and memorable stay,"
"Reception is very helpful and nice, however, the room size is pretty small, also the hairdryer is not working. The only thing good is the location, it is close to the train station"

Amazing
SSteffenDA nice and pretty affordable four star hotel - perfect for families. Clean, relatively big and modern rooms with river view and balcony. The rooms are bright and give you a good feeling. Bathtub and shower in one. Medium size TV with an okay selection of channels. The very nice thing about this hotel is the pool and sauna area. Several pools for swimming, relaxing and one pool with thermal water. They even have kind of a medical spa/hospital attached to the hotel where you can get (health) cure. The breakfast has a great selection and is delicious. The hotel WiFi works very good and is available almost everywhere. The service and staff are friendly and helpful. They provide you a free water bottle in the room as welcome gift, which other hotels don’t as the tap water is drinkable. The location is on the island, where there are parks and kids playgrounds nearby, even there is a very small zoo for kids to play/touch some animals. To go to most sights/inner city/circus/thermal pools you can take a taxi with the Bolt app for approx. 8-10€. Near the hotel there is also a very tasty chain restaurant VakVarjú Étterem with typical Hungarian dishes. The hotel is also very dog friendly. We loved our stay and will come back. We also stayed in Danubius Hotel Helia nearby, but this one here is much better!
Ttongtong.333I stayed at three wombats on this trip (Munich and Vienna ) and this one is the best!!! There is air conditioning inside the room!! Can’t complain!!! I visited in summer time and it’s grateful to have A/C. Besides there is a little fan every bed just like in wombat Vienna. The bath room is great, lots of space to put your stuffs, with hair dryer as well. Room is big, full size mirror is a plus. Guest kitchen is big too and three big fridges with enough space to store food. Great location easy to get to metro/ airport bus. Most importantly affordable price!! Love my stay thank you ☺️
DDRTWCWe stayed for 3 nights, arriving at 2 AM and checking in ourselves. Budapest Center Residence provided very clear and detailed instructions and explanations, including text and videos, so check-in was no problem at all. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. The rooms were on two floors; the upper floor had a large bed, bathroom, and balcony, while the lower floor had a large bed, kitchen, dining table, and toilet. We enjoyed our homemade breakfast on the balcony and hung our clothes to dry. The location was excellent, in the heart of Pest district, within a 5-minute walk of the airport bus. Major attractions in Pest district are within a 30-minute walk, which is very convenient. There are restaurants, bars, and supermarkets nearby, making it easy to buy drinks and food. This would definitely be my first choice for my next trip to Budapest.
WWarlie Zambales DiazHotel President Budapest exceeded all my expectations! The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, making for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. The breakfast selection was outstanding, offering a wide variety of options that catered to all tastes, and everything I tried was delicious and fresh. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional—they were incredibly warm, accommodating, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect.
The hotel’s location is another highlight. It is within walking distance of major landmarks like The Parliament and St. Stephen’s Basilica, making it a perfect base for exploring Budapest. There are also many great restaurants and other tourist spots nearby, making it easy to enjoy the city without the hassle of long commutes. I highly recommend this hotel for its quality and convenience!
BBamBam wowoweeWe had a really nice stay — it truly felt like home! The place was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host was kind and responsive, which made the experience even better.
One small suggestion though: it would be great to include a short video or clip with the instructions (like check-in steps or how to use certain appliances). It would make it easier to follow rather than reading through a long list of directions. Overall, a warm and pleasant stay that we’d definitely recommend!
GGuest UserWhen I arrived at the hotel before 7 o'clock, I was nervous because the entrance door was closed, but when I looked around the intercom, there was a call code on it, so I just had to press it. I went inside just as the other guests were coming out. All the staff were kind and greeted me with a smile, making me feel at ease. A bottle of wine was included in the room and it was delicious!

GGuest UserReading the reviews, overall I was expecting worse. The room was a little dated but clean, the bathroom ditto. Clean sheets and towels. On the other hand, the pillows offered are really uncomfortable, the mini bar is not working and the breakfast is very poor and without a sweet proposal: I went on for three days on bread, butter and jam. The staff were friendly enough and the location was excellent for getting to the center by public transport.
