3-Star Hotels in Budapest

This was my first hotel in Budapest. The rooms are clean, the towels are spotless white, and they even provide slippers and bathrobes! The bathroom has an electric towel warmer. I'd like to express huge thanks to the lady who prepares breakfast – she was incredibly helpful and assisted me greatly. Now for the downsides: - There's no elevator in the hotel. I was lucky that I only stayed on the second floor and my suitcase was light. - In the evening, the area feels a bit unsafe and it's a bit far from the city center. - Staff – at 10:30 PM, no one could answer my texts or calls. I needed to check out at 8 AM, and no one answered the '24/7' phone line when I needed to pay for breakfast. The lady who serves breakfast was a great help; she had the personal numbers of various staff members and somehow managed to reach one of them! No one could take my card payment at 8 AM, so they allowed me to pay 20 euros in cash (breakfast costs 15). The check-out situation really soured my impression of the hotel, so next time I'll probably choose a different one.

The location is fantastic. Major attractions like the Chain Bridge and the Parliament building are all within walking distance. The surrounding area feels very safe, and taxis are easily accessible when called. The downside is that the rooms are extremely dry, and the ladder for the bunk bed is really difficult to climb up and down. Waking up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night makes coming down quite frightening. It's so dry that I kept waking up with a sore throat during the night.

It’s an ideal location for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city while still being easily connected. Service: The receptionist staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I appreciated their attentiveness; they would knock multiple times before entering the room, ensuring guest comfort and privacy. Additionally, the option to store my luggage at the hotel after check-out was a significant advantage, allowing me to explore the city without the burden of my bags. Room Comfort and Amenities: My room was spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was decent, providing a good night’s sleep. Despite my short one-night stay, I found the accommodations to be more than satisfactory. Dining: The breakfast section offered a variety of options, making it a pleasant way to start the day. I found the selection to be adequate and enjoyable, contributing to a positive overall experience. Conclusion: In summary, if you’re seeking a quiet retreat away from the city’s hectic pace, this hotel in Budapest is a commendable choice. With its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and accessible location, it provides a comfortable base for both short and extended stays. My experience was quite satisfactory, and I would recommend it to others looking for a relaxed stay in Budapest.

Just 5 minutes walk from Nepliget bus station. Located in very busy quarter but the inside of the hotel is quiet and clean. The airconditioner was too weak and never went below 25 degrees celcius, which made the room actually hotter than 25 and not pleasant. I don't understand why many European hotels still set this kind of temperature limitations. It is very hot in summer and we need cool rooms.

Overall, it was quite good, but there was one thing that was very counter-intuitive: the power outlets were connected to the sensor switch, which meant I couldn't charge my devices all night. I don't know if this was just an issue with our room or if it's the case for all rooms in the hotel, but I hope the hotel can improve this. However, there's really nothing else to complain about. The location is excellent; it's about a five or six-minute walk to the subway station, bus stop, and a more bustling area. Overall, it's very good.

The Entrance to the place were through the basement. We had room nr.6 right next to the reception. The room was spacious but in front of our door there were standing and extra foldable bed, cleaning supplies, 10 empty gigantic bottles. We felt like living in a cheap hostel. On 2nd day, we woke up to a renovation project in the hallway. There were workers with painting all over the place. And it smelled on the entire floor with the paint. Many rooms face beautiful inner garden, but it also means when people sit on their terrace in the middle of the night and talk, you can hear it in your room. Pool was fine. Location is good. Good places to grab breakfast.

The location is great, and generally everything in the apartment was fine, except for the lack of Wi-Fi. However, the service from the company renting out the apartments leaves a lot to be desired. They didn't respond to any of my inquiries sent through the app. The check-in instructions seemed clear, but it took me about 15 minutes to find the key to the apartment. The box on the wall, where the mini-safes were hidden, looked like an electrical panel, so that was the last place I looked for the safe with the code lock. I wasn't sent any check-out instructions at all, and I had to call them to clarify the procedure.

As a solo traveler, I spoke no Hungarian and my English was very limited. The front desk staff were incredibly kind, and my room was spacious and clean. I understand that amenities like conditioner and toothbrushes weren't provided, and I honestly didn't expect them. The view from the hotel was spectacular, with a beautiful church visible close by. Its proximity to the station made it very convenient. They kindly held my luggage for me while I was out exploring, which allowed me to see so many sights. I visited the Central Market and even had the chance to attend mass at a church. The area also boasts numerous attractions, and I even found an unexpected shopping mall nearby, which was a fun surprise! I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Hungary. The location was really great! It was a minute from the tour meeting point and the view of the cathedral from the room was fantastic. The 24-hour front desk was also great. The best choice for the right price!

Reading the reviews, overall I was expecting worse. The room was a little dated but clean, the bathroom ditto. Clean sheets and towels. On the other hand, the pillows offered are really uncomfortable, the mini bar is not working and the breakfast is very poor and without a sweet proposal: I went on for three days on bread, butter and jam. The staff were friendly enough and the location was excellent for getting to the center by public transport.
