2-Star Hotels in Budapest

The airport shuttle bus 100E drops only a few minutes walk away from the hostel. (30mins travel) Very useful. There is a socket and reading light next to each bed and I had a change of bedding on my second day. I feel that this is due to there being no bed bookings and you choose your own, so they don't know which bed is still in use. There's a danger you may lose your bed if you don't leave things on it. There was a shared bathroom with a toilet in it and a locker provided in the room too. I brought my own towel as this was not provided. There is shower gel provided in the shower. A really central hostel, though they're is a hub of bars directly opposite, so they're is a lot of noise until very late which means I had disrupted sleep both nights. Plenty of takeaway places close for quick bites to eat and lots of café spots close too. This hostel is also very close to get to the main sights and starts of walking tours also if you'd be doing this too.

Large room, large shower but the water had probably a lot of limestone and other irritants so much that my girlfriend and I became blond at the end of the holiday, and I suggest to male available some eye drops because the eyes after the shower immediately became very reddened and swollen, as an Italian I really appreciated the presence of the bidet, lack of privacy because we had two windows that didn't even close completely and we had only one transparent white curtain available, and that was a passage area and everyone could see us inside. We thank the honesty of those who welcomed us and warned about the possibility of receiving unexpected visits: ”thieves and clochards” and for safety they also wrote it inside the room, just right on the wall indicating the exact point from which they would enter. The hotel is situated in the middle of the Jewish district, which is vey lively all day and nights, with restaurants and bars. My room was bright, clean and quiet. The view on the courtyard was lovely on a Sunday. I like the friendly staff at the reception and enjoyed the breakfast in the canteen.

STAY HERE! Made a mistake on my booking by getting the mixed dorm however I wanted a female room, they changed it at reception without hassle and no extra charge (€27 for 3 nights) the room is very clean, the beds are comfy and you get a privacy curtain, light, plug and hangers in your little pod. There’s a few showers, hairdryer and toilets next to the room and a place to get ready in the morning (very clean) there is a bar downstairs with tvs and also serving good food, there’s chill places to sit outside the room and a rooftop. - 1 min walk to a shop - In the centre, short walks to landmarks - A bus to the airport 10 minute walk away - Bolt, buses and trams to get everywhere Would definitely stay here again!

One flaw that was able to ruin my stay in Budapest: IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP AT NIGHT. I understand it's a hostel, I understand it's a ”party hostel”. I did not expect a deathly silence, but blaring music cannot be tolerated! The unbearable bass. Not even the caps could save me. There is no roof between the floor with the rooms and the floor with the bar / nightclub. The first night they disconnected at 6.30 am, the second night at 3.00 am, the third night at 4.00 am.

A very good resting place! Despite being in the center of Pest, where all the parties and activities take place, the place is great to rest. Good rooms, private bathroom that you access with a key, breakfast area or if you want a bar at night to meet people... Very comfortable, very friendly, and close to everything you need. A perfect place for solo-travellers or to come with friends:)

The room I had at the hotel was good value for money and clean. It was also very quiet at night time and, after a day out walking and seeing the sights of the old city, it was the perfect place to come back to and relax. There are buses just around the corner that link to the city centre, and the nearest Metro is not far. The shuttle service the hotel uses is very reliable. The hotel staff will either book up a transfer with them beforehand or customers can do it themselves from an easily located desk at the airport. I found the wi-fi in the room was quite fast and always usable.

Leo Boutique, The location of the hotel is prime however we did find it rather deceiving. The building is in the 2nd floor of a residential bldg, as stated, however not aesthetically pleasing. The hostess are very pleasant, with charming personalities and great recommendations. Our final thoughts are the following: Key pads sometimes get jammed and residents arent very pleasant. Our experience from residents was rather rude and could tell we were insulted in hungarian language. Residents arent very welcoming. Please come up with a solution as to when key pad gets jammed, how to reset it. Room 206: Extremely hard bed. Felt like concrete Extremely flat pillows. Sleep was impossible Shower door should open inside the shower. Water splashes out and bath mat gets caught. Sewage smell in bathroom was disturbing and constant. Curtain was made too small and sunlight peaks through Laundry service is not an option yet your website leads to beleive you do. The nearest landrymat was 30 min walk. Not ideal when you need to wash 4 loads. Update your website or simply remove it. If others travel like us this is very inconvenient. Our vacations last 8 weeks. Room 206 hears every guest entering and exiting as well as people speaking in entry lobby. Safe did not work, host had to use key to open them we just gave up in using it. Lastly, residents above room 206 run all day and night and can be clearly heard. I think we would consider staying at Leo again but not in room 206 or any other room near the lobby area. Wifi is great and coffee too. Hair dryer is great and having netflix, especially for those jet lagged travelers up in the middle of the night was great. 

The hostel type has public restaurants and lounges. The heating is sufficient, the traffic is close to Elizabeth Bridge, and the travel is convenient. The two of us booked a triple room and ended up with four beds, so we could put things at will. Front desk attitude is also good, providing tourist maps.

We had a fabulous stay here the rooms were nice and the location was amazing! The staff were helpful (particularly the young blonde lady on reception who was very kind and helpful) would recommend all day long! Thanks for a lovely stay :)
