The room we stayed in had scaffolding right outside, so the lovely view of the canal was obscured somewhat, however, we understand work needs to be done so it wasn’t a drama

Nice place, though some might consider it a little staid and old fashioned. Might be best suited to the more mature traveller. Room was small but clean and well priced. Food in the restaurant was tasty. Staff were excellent overall and welcoming. Would have been nice to know in advance that the Car Park is opposite the hotel, not down the canal road, perhaps my fault for missing that.

We were a walk-in of 16 last Sunday. As we were away on a rugby tour, hadn't been to Bude before, by chance we popped in to see if it was possible to accommodate us. Pleasantly surprised that they managed to squeeze us in and the food was amazing 👏🏻 🤩. Staff very friendly and accommodating!

What a gem ! Booked table for 9 in the Breakwater Brasserie Friday night (19/4/24), last night of our family holiday. There was a wonderful choice across the standard and specials menus for all tastes and dietary requirements. Everyone was delighted with their meal. It was good value for the quality. The location is excellent, close to the canal, the decor was tasteful. The food was superb and the service matched. It's a shame we live so far away and can't visit more often. THANK-YOU.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Walking distance to beach and shops (15 mins if walk slow). Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Strongly recommend staying here and we will be back.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. The room looked over the canal and the included breakfast and parking were very welcome. The staff were extremely friendly and always happy to share information about Bude. The food is great and there are several other eating places nearby.
