A nice place to relax! The South Pacific Resort has nice facilities, a good restaurant & a nice cocktail bar. The staff were all great; they showed the best of Norfolk Island. The Resort is next door to another hotel whose Friday night 2-for-1 cocktail hours are impressive, and across the street from the RSL (more great food at good prices). Despite a week of walking everywhere, I gained weight!

We were disappointed that the pool was not available for use and the restaurant was not open. The fridge in our room was very small….not big enough for snacks and drinks. Cost of room was reasonable and cleanliness excellent.

Having been to Norfolk a few times we know what to expect in terms of the standard of accommodation in most places. It tends to be clean but a little on the rustic side. This hotel is no different. The place is stuck in a time warp but I also know how difficult it would be to renovate not to mention the cost. We had a superior room which was clean but definitely showing its age with a lot of scuffs and marks everywhere. I also could not believe how much branding there was on everything - pillows, sheets, cups, plates, towels etc - seems slightly mad and unnecessary. The rooms are warm and you will be thankful for any cross breeze. In fact adding ceiling fans would fix this issue really easily. The beds are REALLY uncomfortable. They have almost no support and if the other person in the bed moves it is like a tsunami rolling through the bed. Other odd things are the small TV which cannot be seen (or rotated to be seen) from the couch, water jug not being filled, giant key ring and dinner.... I have never stayed anywhere where I have to pre-order dinner and have that done by 4:00 pm. Also asking for our dinner to be at 7:30 pm was far too late. The latest they would do this was 6:45 pm. We decided to order and when in our room we were then advised that as we were the only two guests dining that would we mind our meal as room service. No real issue. That said we went to the lobby bar for a drink (the only people there on a Saturday night) and the staff were happy to serve our meal there. This was significantly better. The food itself was fine, a bit expensive for what it was. The staff were quite friendly and very polite. Overall the stay was fine but will choose elsewhere for our next visit.

Via Scenic Tours we stayed at this resport for 7 days in March 2024 From start to finish the hotel was excellent The staff were attentive and most helpful Our room, although not new, was clean and well equipped, bed comfortable. Breakfast and several dinners were very good, although we missed the unavailability of fresh fruit. The location was a short walk from the shops. I have already verbally recommended this resort to my friends, also advocating Scenic as the best tour company.

This amazingly friendly hotel is situated quite close to the shopping precinct. They can hire you a cute little cube car, perfect for island exploration. The local tour companies will fix You up with tours , including a progressive dinner at 3 local homes. Make sure to spend freely on this island which is almost completely dependant on the tourist trade.

The South Pacific Resort Hotel was a lovely resort in a beautiful setting, within walking distance to the town centre. My room was very comfortable within a short walking distance to the dining room, cafe and other facilities in the hotel.

Wonderful staff. Rooms basic but set in lovely gardens, Within walking distance of town. Can recommend the breakfasts and dinners. Generous helpings even though so much produce has to be flown in by plane.
