Very nice hotel. It is also the training base of the British football team. There is even an indoor court next to the hotel that can change the temperature and humidity at any time. However, I didn’t see any stars during my stay, only the youth training.

Was very last minute, but had a really nice time. Room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, one of the best I have slept on!! Only negative was the noise of the saniflow loo, but didn’t deter from stay. Also had dinner in the restaurant, food was of a very high standard and staff were organised and competent. Every thing was clean and all staff wearing masks, felt very safe.
Holiday Inn Express Burton Upon Trent

Stayed for one night with my Partner. Reception staff were welcoming on arrival. Room was lovely. Nicely decorated, immaculately cleaned and had all we required. Bed was comfortable. Had breakfast the next morning which again was superb. Buffet style but hot, tasty and plentiful. A brilliant stay and would stay again if need arose.
Three Queens Hotel

At check-in the reception staff member was more interested in watching football and I was told to wait they watched football!!!! I did not sleep well as the hotel has a loose rope on the flag pole, told in morning that being loose since lockdown. All night a loud metal tinging sound. The hotel has an amazing heritage and the room shares this heritage, I wish just the staff would book time off for football and did regular site checks every day. Lastly the reception is not 24/7.
Premier Inn Burton On Trent East

Our stay we couldn’t fault our sleep the room was small but bed was comfortable & clean. We had Nachos and a curry, the nachos had hardly and cheese and bits and the chicken had no sauce at all and very dry. We complained and the staff came back with a jug of sauce but should have taken the whole plate back and done it in the kitchen. When ordering drinks there was a delay it seemed they may have been short staffed and when ordering drinks they had forgot half of what was ordered maybe it was inexperienced staff? We were there for a wake so the staff would have known to be expecting a large amount of people in the afternoon. Apart from the bar and food service our stay was ok.
