Hotels Near Greg＇s Park in Busselton

Pullman Bunker Bay has the potential to be a world class destination resort like Bederra Island or Qualia resort located on the eastern coast of Australia. The reason for my average rating purely came come to the soft product or lack of it which is basically the service elements.The pullman bunker bay is located in a Beautiful part of Western Australia with its own semi private beach . The villas rooms are bit dated but still very nice and comfortable, the shared facilities of lobby and restaurant are also very nice and well maintained. Where this resort falls down in is the service elements in Housekeeping and Food and Beverage. We stayed 4 nights at the resort and the housekeeping was never consistent sometimes the did the bed others day they didn’t do the bed same with the toilets sometimes they were cleaned sometimes they weren’t. The ladies working in Housekeeping are very nice and friendly but seemed to be understaffed and not trained enough. In Food and beverage we visited the restaurant every day for breakfast and once for dinner. The food elements were not bad in such but everyday the breakfast food was the same and very generic being so close to Margaret River you would think that they would incorporate some local produce . The service or lack of it is what really made the entire f&b experience fall down at breakfast they seemed to have enough staff but they all seemed to be milling around their bar area talking amongst themselves rather then serving the guest. There is no service or engagement at all at breakfast time which is very disappointing especially for a 5 star resort. The potential is there for Pullman Bunker bay to me a real world class destination resort but if they ant to compete with the like of Qualia they need to have a solid look at there staff training and engagement. P.S a special mention to the Fijian staff who worked in the Front office and buggie drivers they were always friendly and enthusiastic and engaging.

It's very convenient and quite private. Each room has its own private parking space. The parking spaces for even-numbered rooms are basically at the door of the room. If you want to eat, you can drive to the city for 7 minutes. The hotel also has a restaurant. If you want to eat pizza at the hotel, it is recommended to drive to the domino to buy it. The price/performance ratio is not bad in this small town.

We could highly recommend staying at Breeze. We were a gathering of 14 which included 5 caravan sites and 2 cabins. We were lucky enough to be in one of the cabins which was wonderful. It was spotlessly clean with everything in it that you could want. The grounds were lovely, plenty of shade and a lovely pool area. The wonderful staff were the happiest we've seen anywhere. The soundproofing of the room is a bit poor, but the facilities are good, the kitchen supplies are also very complete, and the reception staff is also very enthusiastic! But there is no disposable toothbrush, you must bring your own toothbrush!

”Stayed” there yesterday. Checked in right on time, met the cleaner, who was very nice. Parking was quite confusing, as I needed to get a garage door opener from inside, but it all worked as it should. This is a typical, nice Australian house that's been converted to a small hotel. First impressions were great. It all looked really nice. Bed was too soft was the only downside I could find. I then set off for the day to explore. I got back at 8:30pm, pizza in hand, looking forward to a quiet, cozy night before a big day and an important international meeting the next morning. Greeted by a large group of people who had taken over the house. Mind you, this is an adults only place, which I usually interpret to be quiet, especially given the good reviews and luxurious feel. I think it probably usually works out, but unluckily for me, it didn't yesterday. I'd just returned from swimming and was looking forward to unwinding. Instead, this large foreign group was cooking smelly food in the main kitchen, loudly gathering and drinking vodka from massive bottles, and had turned the thermostats up to 28 (!!!) degrees. It was literally 33 degrees outside a few hours earlier. I live in one of the coldest regions on earth and have never set my thermostat past 24. It was an absolute sauna in here. They asked if I wanted to join them to drink, I politely declined, went to my room, ate my pizza, took a shower, and got ready for bed. Quiet hours are posted as 10pm, so I patiently waited until then, though had packed my bags ready to go. Reflecting back, I think they likely thought they'd booked out the whole house. That's the best way I can interpret this. I was traveling solo, and this was a large group. NOBODY from the property is onsite to assist. They leave a phone number to contact if issues, but I couldn't call with my international sim. They brag about their high ranking and ”as seen on TV”. With all this bravado, one would think they'd leave a way for international guests to contact them. I tried through **********, i tried through the Baudin website contact form, I emailed multiple times, and I added their number to whatsapp (where they had an active account) and messaged multiple times. I also asked the large group to stop, but they didn't. I'm not going to escalate that further whilst alone in a foreign country. I'm also not paying for a 4 star hotel to be a babysitter, security guard, or parent. Why would this hotel allow a large group to book every room in the property but 1 - the main master suite? Ridiculous. I ended up leaving shortly after 10pm and tried every property in Busselton AND Bunbury (45mins away). All were closed with no human contact. I then ended up driving 3 hours north to Perth through the pitch black with bad eyesight, and going to multiple hotels before finding one for 300/night - where I'm currently writing this review. An absolute stunning property located on the waterfront of Busselton, directly opposite the famous Busselton jetty. And the perfect spot to stay when you are visiting the Margaret River wineries. This Hilton Garden Inn is brand new and has been well thought out. Lots of rooms, some with balconies, and all with fluffy pillows, super comfortable beds, great shower pressure (and quality shower gel, shampoo, body lotion). Staff were simply so welcoming and helpful. Massive shoutouts to Des and Kris who made me feel so welcome (and also looked after my colleagues). A quick and efficient checkin too. Breakfast is served downstairs from 6:30am and offers a great range of products - from cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit to hot brekkie items. Delicious. Parking is a breeze. And it's walking distance to the supermarket or a 1 second walk to the brewery across the road. 24 hour reception. Gym too.

The observatory guesthouse is in an absolutely fantastic location. We were able to walk to and fro the Brewery for dinner as well as the waterfront and of course the famous Busselton jetty. The price was including continental breakfast and the place was sparkling clean. There were lots of extras making a special touch. Easy checkin and checkout. Very good communication with the management.

This is our 2nd stay here and each time in the Family Room for 5. This year we were given a 'better' room as there were proper beds for 5 but only 4 of us made the trip. This room however, seemed slightly smaller than the other. Last year, my daughter joined us and the 5th person had to sleep on a sofa bed. Nevertheless, the rates are very reasonable for a family of 5 whereby a fridge, microwave and cutlery/crockery are provided. Walkable distance to the jetty for us too. Owner is flexible and accommodating. If nobody is wanting your room, he allows late check-outs. Will come back again next year !
