Was very surprised by the size of the RIU hotel it was huge but still felt luxurious. Very well laid out and kept uptogether and very good on the eye. Service was impeccable at all times. Staff went over and above. Food was very good and something for everyone. Very pleased with the branded soft drinks and alchohol served. Really loved the hotel would definately visit again. Only small negative is that the central pools could do with a makeover as looking a little.worn in places.

First time visiting the RIU karamboa and what a experience it was. From checking in to leaveing the staff have been nothing but friendly, the cleaners, receptionists, bar staff, entertainers etc..... All very polite, happy going people. The food is amazing, such a variety aswell. Food I've never had and it was spot on. The pool bar staff are the most entertaining people you will ever meet, bar opens at 10:30am and from opening to close they are always smiling, laughing and singing to the music, they just make you feel so welcome. The hotel it self is 5* rated and we've had a 5*service throughout, amazing 10 days we've had and will definitely be returning when the new refurb has happened. Obrigada :)

The Iberostar hotel is very nice garden in the middle of dessert/savanna land. There is beautifull beach, but the sea is nearly impossible to swim due to big waves. So unles you are competetion level swimmer, you can only waddle to wet your knees. (Im a good swimmer and struggled really bad, the waves knocked me down and around...) You can go on trip to snorkel or visit Sal rei, where the watter is calm. The hotel consists of separate ”tiny homes” in two levels and you walk to the restaurant and reception, which may be problem for elderly or hurt people (not me). The food is excellent, but one needs to remember thats its africa, so any mistake can and probably will have consequences. My father got violently ill third day and we had to call doctor to the hotel, who gave him two IVs and saved him, but he spent the rest of holidy in room and I had to be nearby. The hotel manager was helpfull and allowed us late check out for free, but there was high cost of the medical care, so I strongly reccomend high level travel insurance.
