Wonderful helpful man at reception. But I would invest a few more dollars to stay at the IBIS a few block’s away.
The area was overrun with migrant’s and homeless,I could barely enter the Ibis building,they were laying all over the entry way…I just had to assert myself to get into the hotel,which took some gut’s.
Nothing at all wrong with the hotel,service,cleanliness,price,but the area is aweful and it also appears that the French governement is housing numerous migrant’s in the hotel itself.
We didn’t dare leave the hotel once we got in it,and the area was overwhlemingly aweful.
Kudos to the man at reception. The area is totally unsafe though.

franchement, c'est l'un des hôtels pas fou de Caen que j'ai pu tester. En soit, l'hôtel est pas si mal pour un ibis budget. Néanmoins, le quartier est vraiment peu sécure, il y a des voyous qui zonent devant la porte de l'hôtel. En arrivant à peine sur place, moi et ma famille avons vécu une bagarre très violente juste devant la porte. De plus, il y a une personne s'apparentant à un misanthrope puisqu'il a fixé mes enfants vers 23h pendant 10 min dans le couloir. Je tient à souligné que c'est uniquement l'environnement extérieur qui n'avantage pas l'hôtel. Le personnel est vraiment très sympa et nous somme à 5min d'un centre commercial bien plus calme. Moi et ma femme avons tout de même super bien dormi malgré les nuisances sonore en provenance du bar "La Gitane" en dessous.

Simple but efficient hotel. Very friendly staff. Weak point is parking.
There should be greater vigilance regarding smoking in the rooms, unpleasant smell in the corridors (due to the incivility of the customers and not the hotel).

The -: very uncomfortable mattress, sink in the room not practical, no heating, plan to arrive early for breakfast otherwise nothing to eat! (1 mini croissant and 1 mini bread without butter for €9, that’s expensive!)

The staff at the property was so friendly and helpful. The woman who checked me in was very fast and efficient. The night man reminded where the internet code was. The day manager stored my bags while I toured the city. We talked about the area and the weather. The breakfast was very good and inexpensive. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.
