MAD Monkey Waterfront

Really enjoyed my stay at this hostel, it was very quiet and cosy. Nice kitchen with free breakfast. Did not expect to have much options, but they had pancakes, cereals and toast. The bathrooms very clean! And the staff was very helpful.

It was the first hostel that I’ve stayed at that I felt relaxed and chilled, everyone here is friendly, the staff are efficient and helpful. The rooms are well looked after and the kitchen and bathroom rooms are clean. Everyone is like a little family I highly recommend booking here l.

I had the best stay at Mad Monkeys Waterfront. The room was always really clean and the free breakfast was a bonus! I would really recommend this hostel if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Cairns, as its right on the Esplanade and opposite the lagoon, and its a great place to meet other backpackers. Plus, the staff are super friendly!

Such a great experience to stay at this hostel! The location of the hostel couldn't be better, lots of bars and restaurants, supermarket and the city pool is just around the corner. The rooms are nice with an air-condition and the whole hostel is really clean. The kitchen is amazing, they've a TV in there as well which I really liked. I slept really well at this hostel and I met amazing people. They also have a small outside area with a bbq which was great to meet people. Can highly recommend to book this hostel and will definitely be back!

Mad Monkey Waterfront is a wonderfully welcoming hostel that offers a warm and cozy atmosphere. The location is excellent, with close proximity to all the attractions in Cairns City, and the staff is also incredibly lovely. The free breakfast was a nice detail that I really enjoyed, specially the pancakes. If you're looking for a low-key stay while still having opportunities to socialize and make new friends, this hostel is a very good option. And yes, you do get to sleep very well cause it’s very quiet at night!! I'm already planning on returning in the future!

Beautiful location pleasant room and public areas very frendly staff. Close to the esplanade and it's activities you'll find yourself immersed in the local atmosphere and magnificient scenery. The place is clean and the members staff will help you discover the many privileges of your stay here.

Loved my stay here at Mad Monkey! The people are super friendly and staff always on hand to help. Great location on the esplanade right in the heart of Cairns so everything you need is on the doorstep but luckily never affected by any noise. Great option for all travellers looking to meet new people and make the most of everything to do in Cairns:)

I would definitely recommend staying at this hostel. It had everything you need and a little bit more. Has a great location right on the esplanade, clean rooms/bathrooms, big and well equipped kitchen, nice common area that’s great for meeting people and socializing and not to mention the free breakfast you get every morning. The staff and guest are all very friendly and respectful.
