Ramada By Wyndham Cairns City Centre
"The location is fantastic, making it super convenient to get anywhere! It's not far from the beach or the pier."
Caravella Backpackers
"Check-in was easy even after 2 p.m. Booked a new apartment, but unfortunately they forgot to clean the toilet when we arrived. Very disgusting. Great location, everything was available in the shared kitchen. Right on the beach. Quick access to the city."
Cairns Colonial Club Resort
"Great location and hotel! Had everything you need!!"
Pacific Hotel Cairns

YHA Cairns Central
"Clean, chill and late night checking works perfectly."
The Benson Hotel
"Quite Central to where you need to be in Cairns. At first sight, the hotel looked quite crusty externally but the room (and interior) were fine. Breakfast was rather delicious. Pool looked ok but don’t actually go in as there was little cover from the sun i.e. additional deck chair umbrellas. Had to haggle for a late check-out (from 10am to 11am) but in the end, after using reason and logic, we got there… Overall a good experience"

"Nice view from the my room☺︎ I enjoyed staying at your hotel! I didn’t get a chance to use the pool this time, so I’ll definitely try it next time I come back to the Cairns !!"

Coral Tree Inn
"The hotel is within walking distance of family-friendly locations such as the park, aquarium, and esplanade. We were on the 2nd floor and had a great view. The only downsides were that it was on the 2nd floor and there were 3 levels of stairs to walk up with kids and bags. Additionally, the buffet didn't have a wide range, just the usual cereal, fruit, croissant, eggs/beans/sausage, and toast."
Little Drifter Cairns
"This was my first time staying here. Our room was directly above the terrace, so we could hear the lively chatter, which actually added to the travel experience in a fun way. I was a bit worried the noise might keep me from sleeping, but every night around 10 PM, it quieted down, and I was able to rest peacefully. I highly recommend buying groceries from the nearby supermarket and enjoying a meal on the terrace. Also, you can walk to the seaside promenade in about 10 minutes. It’s a safe location for a solo early morning stroll."
Mercure Cairns
"Very comfortable night sleep, room was clean staff were helpful. Please note the lift is currently under construction so you may need to use the stairs, the stairs are not suitable for children as they have horizontal rails with large gaps. The restraunts buffet looked like it had a decent selection but we did not have it as it was $16each our two and three year olds."
Travellers Paradise
"NICE ENVIRONMENT"
Crystalbrook Riley
"This hotels wins the first place among other hotels on our Cairns trip! Brand new with mazing staff who are always there to make your stay perfect. The hotel has four pools in this nice courtyard area facing the beach, so you can swim with the view. Yet, the pools are not crowded at all. Family pool doesn’t look like, yet it is shallow with sand, little fountains and everyone seemed to have fun in there. Rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfy. Balconies are made for outdoor use with furniture and even night light. The view is worth the price!"
Pullman Reef Hotel Casino
"The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants and the city center. We arrived early in the morning and couldn't check in yet, but they showed us a room where we could unpack, which was very helpful. The room itself was spacious, but its age was undeniable. Also, there were small ant-like insects in the bathroom every day, which was a bit stressful."
Waters Edge Apartment
"My wife, our two middle school-aged daughters, and I stayed here as a family of four. The cooking utensils and tableware were very well provided, and we were able to buy groceries at the supermarket and prepare meals at reasonable prices. We enjoyed the wonderful view and meals at Muddy's Cafe right in front of the hotel while waiting for the hotel reception to open after our early morning arrival, and again on the morning of our departure. It's a little far from the city center, so we had to walk each time, but that meant it was quiet and peaceful. Both of our daughters were very happy with the hotel."
Pullman Cairns International
Exuding grand colonial elegance, this upscale five-star hotel features massive, high-ceilinged spaces, an expansive pool deck, and a world-class day spa.
Gilligan‘s Backpackers Hotel & Resort
"cute Hostel sometimes loud, but its a partyhostel so its alright"
The Espy Hostel
"The location was just the best. It was in the center of Esplanade, near the night market, so there was no trouble with sightseeing. It was the cheapest hostel with a private room that I looked at when booking. The room was small, but better than a dormitory. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, and sometimes there was no hot water, so it was just luck at the time. At first I had trouble opening the door, but there was a free public phone nearby, and they asked me to call from there, and they opened it for me. I was surprised that there were free public phones in Australia. Lol"
Mumma's Hostel Cairns
"Such a great and cool vibe! Facilities are really clean, the outside area is super nice, staff are friendly and efficient and always keen to help. I enjoyed my stay and will be back for sure!"
Cairns Queenslander Hotel & Apartments
"Value for money, with good secure parking. Nice swimming pool, and restaurant."
Hotel Tropiq

Crystalbrook Flynn
A chic and social luxury hotel that embodies a lively, energetic spirit, offering glass-panel pool views and trendy dining spots right on the bustling Esplanade.
Alivio Hotel Cairns
"This hotel has many rooms with broken air conditioners, which often causes staff to disappear from the counter. Many electrical outlets are also unusable, so I personally wouldn't recommend it. The staff's service was very good, though."
Cairns Southgate Hotel
"Unfortunately I only looked up these reviews when I couldnt get in contact with the property so I was very apprehensive about the place but I had already paid and didnt want to waste my money. First impressions - there is zero service and the place is awful. There are no staff at the reception so everything has to be done by ringing an external number (and its a 555 number so I'm assuming its Sunshine Coast) I had received an email upon booking saying the reception has limited hours so ring ahead to get the key safe combination. Tried that, the phone was never answered. Stopped in on the way to our final destination nearby, its a ghost town, there is no-one around. Rang the number suggested on my own phone (because the direct line they provide doesnt work) only to be told to come back later. Anyway so we come back later and the person that answered the phone after 3pm was much more pleasant and we had our room key in less than 2 minutes of calling them. (Note - still no reception or any staff and this was at 3pm in the afternoon). No directions on how to find the room or carpark so it was a little adventure. Got inside the building and its filthy, I dont know the last time the stairs have seen a vacuum cleaner or the walls wiped. I'm almost ready to cut my losses and just leave. However, we get inside the room and its of a reasonable size and the room itself is spotlessly clean. The microwave, electric jug, air-conditioner and fan appear to be brand new. The furniture is aged but was in reasonably decent condition. The carpet is old but not worn or stained. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. Towels were a little thing but the water pressure was great and again the bath, shower fittings, grouting and toilet looked very new and were spotlessly clean. We had a great nights sleep with no noise transference from other rooms or from the street. TV even had youtube. Tea, coffee and basic toiletries supplied. There was a housekeeper there when we arrived and she was there again when we left so as far as we are aware the rooms are serviced even on the weekends. There was adequate parking available and the hotel was pretty full during the period we were there. The restaurant/bar is not operating at the moment. The poos was working, it had a bit of leaf litter and dirt but given its proximity to the road thats not surprising. This property has the potential to be pretty good if they just cleaned up the exterior a bit (rubbish in the ponds and garden, general maintenance) and had onsite staff. Inside the rooms were perfectly fine and clean if not fancy. Great location."
