The Village Cairns

It was great! It was my first time backpacking so I was a bit worried about whether the room would be clean, but it was very clean!

When I visited Australia this time, the most impressive thing was staying at The Village Cairns. We stayed here for three days. Johnny at the front desk received us that day with a very good and patient attitude. Seeing that we were a family of three, he specially gave us He arranged a very quiet room, and told us in detail the location and key points of use of the kitchen and bathroom, as well as how to use the virtual door lock. Our first impression was that he was enthusiastic and responsible; 2.14 was Valentine's Day, and Johnny informed us of the evening's activities in the morning. Let's participate together. Sure enough, with wine, juice, chocolate and music on the balcony in the evening, our family spent a very meaningful Valentine's Day together, which added a lot to our trip. Everyone must download Goki Accommodation’s access control Apps before checking in. The environment is okay and quite soundproof, but the day I checked in was Christmas Day. We came over at around 8pm, but there was no staff at the front desk. We waited at the front desk door for more than an hour without contact. Only online customer service in Hong Kong can successfully check in. I hope the colleagues at the front desk can coordinate better.

I booked a room thinking it would be a room with a toilet and shower, but it wasn't! I guess it's okay because it was cheap. .  Some rooms don't have windows, so be sure to check the photos when making a reservation! The location is very good and there is a supermarket next door so it's convenient. There is no elevator, so if you have a heavy carry case, it may be difficult at the beginning and end. They hold events depending on the day of the week, and on Sunday nights they had BBQ sausages and free drinks.

Thanks to the strongest Wi-Fi in all areas, I only had to use minimal communication during my trip, so I didn't experience any inconvenience. Since I don't have a physical key, I use an app called GOKI to unlock all doors via Bluetooth. Breakfast includes basic bread items such as bread, cereal, yogurt, milk, coffee, and jam. The staff will line you up at the buffet from 7:30-10:00. Wash your own cutlery. There is no fresh fruit available, so I recommend buying it at the supermarket one or two doors down from the building. The location is excellent and the price is reasonable. Towels are the same as Australian locals and are not changed daily, so pay extra if you need them.

The location is first-class, the toilets and kitchen are clean, and the management is in place. There are activities held several days a week. It is suitable for people who love socializing. The rooms are also well soundproofed and the dormitory prices are cheap.

I booked a room with a window, but there was no window. The price remained the same. Breakfast is something I make myself from what I have in the fridge. There were other guests' personal belongings in the refrigerator, so I didn't know which ones to use, so in the end I could only eat bread or cereal. The only thing you can do to clean your room is throw out the trash. There are only stairs, so it can be difficult for people with a lot of luggage!

I was very worried because the price was cheap, but I think it was pretty good. The facilities were clean and there was no smell, so it was okay. I think it was worth the price.
