I stayed on the first floor, opposite the swimming pool. There were small insects flying around in the room. I used a lot of wind oil and turned on the fan to drive away the insects. I opened the door, but the insects inside the room didn't fly out, but the insects outside flew in. I had to close the door. I used up half a bottle of insect repellent spray in two days, but it didn't work! I laid a disposable sheet, covered myself with their quilt, and wore pajamas and socks to sleep. As a result, the exposed ankles were still allergic the next day. No one cleaned the hotel during my stay. It was very old. Although some places were painted, they still couldn't cover up the old smell. All hotels on this street are not recommended.

The room with balcony on the second floor we stayed in was good. It was spacious and bright, with a microwave, which was convenient for heating food. Although the location was a little off, the price was suitable for the date we booked. If we could book an electric scooter for 3 or 10 days, the problem of inconvenient transportation could be solved. The front desk service was very enthusiastic and overall satisfactory.

When I checked in, there were ants in the kitchen and the lights in the room were broken. I informed the service desk and they said they would address it the next day. Unfortunately, the issues were not resolved by the time we checked out. It felt like we were living in a cave those days. There was a jacuzzi inside the property, but it was also not working. Overall, it was average and I would not want to go back.

My partner and I stayed here and paid just under $100 a night for five nights - fairly cheap for Cairns. We weren’t expecting a lot for that price, but we were disappointed. The lady who checked us in was nice but otherwise, this hotel was disgusting. There were old white goods trashed around the carpark and junk piled up in several of the undercover carparks. Black mould growth in the roof skylight and the outside of our room smelled of chlorine and bleach and inside our room had a smell of cigarettes. Rubbish was also left lying around the hotel. Our room had been cleaned but the floor was sticky and the door lock to our hotel was dodgy and the balcony door didn’t lock properly. The microwave had a baby cockroach in it and didn’t heat our food. We didn’t get shampoo or conditioner with our stay (though not expected for the price). The landry had a very old washing machine and no dryer. I would not recommend the Hotel Sheridan.

Really had a very good and enjoyable stay at Cairns City Sheridan Motel. Everything's walking distance from the Motel and the service was 10 from reception to cleaner's. They were all very helpful. Thank you, until next time🙏
