Best Pet friendly Hotels in Calais

The location is quite good but they made me wait more than half an hour to get into my room and I was the only one in line. the premises smell too much of cigarette, I only stayed one night but had to buy air freshener. Everything was clean and breakfast was buffet style, breakfast was fine for me. but they should fix the cigarette smell in the building since for people who don't smoke it can become quite uncomfortable.

What I liked: Good location: you can walk out, one minute and you're right near the intersection of the two main streets of Calais. You can walk to the main area of restaurants in about 8-10 minutes and see quite a bit along the way. The room was spacious. and clean and the front desk man was not only helpful but cheerful too. Also there is a bar at the hotel and breakfast area. I didn't have breakfast this time, but would probably do so next time. The aspects of the hotel I didn't like so much was the fact that the decor of the room is very bland. This probably doesn't matter much if you are just here for a night. Also with one window in the room (in the one I stayed in) there wasn't quite enough light. Depends on your point of view but at 72-75 euros per night I don't call this a 'budget' hotel as some others do. It's more of a mid-range. To me 'budget' means something more like the F1 or the Premiere Classe. A few other tips: Regarding the bar, if you want a 'flat white' or similar, don't make the mistake of ordering 'cafe au lait' as in Calais this actually means just an americano-style long cafe with some UHT milk on the side. What you want is a cafe creme. When I explained what I wanted, the barman/front desk man happily made an espresso coffe with steamed milk. Just around the corner to the left is Au Calice where you can sit outside with a coffee and watch the world go by. Which is always a good thing to do when you're in France. There is also a new 'cool' cafe called the Cafetoria right next to it.

This is an old hotel, parking is along the public road but the spacious, clean room and comfortable beds make up for it. We booked this hotel for our ferry to Dover the next morning, location is very convenient with so many good outlets just a couple of minutes away and near the ferry dock. Will stay again.

This is more like what I expect from an Ibis Styles, the last 2 we stayed in were not quite up to par. Friendly and easy check in. Nice big reception, lounge and breakfast room area. Took our cases up to a nice large bedroom with a king and single bed. Large wet room with plenty of room to shower. Room was overlooking Rue Royal. Good selection at breakfast but I was surprised they had no decaffeinated coffee available.

Amazing hotel superb staff rooms were spotlessly clean as was the hotel breakfast was excellent although our room was compact my son's was a bit bigger the beds were superb very comfortable first time I had not booked a disabled room but I managed we had connecting rooms so one walker was kept in my son's room the disabled loo was excellent as well plenty parking ramp as well also disabled spaces great location near to a Carrfour and ferry will be staying again

Very basic stay. A short walk from the train station. They allow pets which might be a positive for some. I heard dog’s barking in the night which I did not appreciate. Breakfast was basic but adequate and staff was helpful.

Stayed for a 4 night stay. The hotel is lovely. The rooms are comfortable. Beds comfortable. The staff are lovely. Very good English spoken. The bar was open so we had a night cap on several occasions and it was no trouble for them . We stayed in the same room we previously stayed in. It is situated less than 5 minutes from the train station and from the main Street where you find food and beverage places.definitely stay again and the price is reasonable. Thank you

This would be a 5* review if residents were stopped from smoking on the fire escapes at the end of the corridors. This results in the corridors smelling badly of cigarette smoke. Also fairly noisy with the fire doors opening and closing constantly. Fire escapes are simply that and not smoking areas. On the positive side this hotel is very clean with comfortable beds. The little bathroom has a good shower. The staff were very polite and helpful both at check in and check out. The car parking is free and secure which is a massive benefit when travelling with a car full of personal belongings. Stop the smoking on the fire escapes and you will change the poor reviews.
