We have an electric car and so when we travel if possible we try stay in hotels that have an electric vehicle charger on site. I always call the hotel directly to confirm as the websites are not always accurate. We called this hotel directly before booking onine and were advised by the woman on the phone (who had to put us on hold while she checked), that there was a car charger in the covered parking area. Great - the only warning was it was first come first served (which is how most are). When we arrived we asked where the vehicle charger was located and due to language issues the front desk person thought we were talking about a car cell phone charger... but another person came over and told us no EV charger on site. That was the whole reason for booking at this hotel and on a long weekend most places nearby were sold out. So we had to change our schedule to go and find a car charger instead of being able to do this at the hotel as planned. We would not have booked had we been given accurate information. And to pour salt in the wound, after we checked in the same person at the front desk who thought we wanted a cell phone charger called to ask if we were satisfied with the room, and I said room was fine but unhappy about no EV charger, he got confused and put us on hold and left us on hold... I eventually just hung up. Poor service. Hotel was clean. Our room was large but very spartan in furnishings and dated except new flooring. Bed was OK and no issue with noise. Shower head was long past its prime so not a great shower. Door into the room was backwards and swung to the open room and not to the wall but it had a door arm on it so you could not open all the way. Thiis made it hard to get luggage into the room as there was a table that limited access. Never tried the included breakfast. Why don't hotels offer the breakfast right until check out time? Why do they cut if off so early? I feel ripped off.

I stayed here for 5 nights. All the staff from the front desk to the housekeeping and maintenance staff were very efficient and friendly. The breakfast bar was ok with a fairly good variety but was barley warm. The restaurant was OK but expensive for what you get. The first steak sandwich was OK, done medium rare like I ordered, and tender but the second one was tough and medium well done and cold. (I ordered medium rare) I also ordered gravy on the fries and will never do that again. The extra charge for a bit of gravy was $3.00. The drinks were very expensive too. Wine was $1.00 per ounce and a Carona was $9.00. All in all, it was a very expensive 5 days. On the up side though, the hotel was very clean and quiet up to the last night. I also have a handicap license plate so I park in a handicap spot. The last night I got a note on my car saying that I don't have authorization to park there and if I don't move my car, further action will be taken. Apparently the other guests were complaining. I took the desk clerk out there and showed him my HANDICAP LICENSE PLATE that is registered to me. The manager should really do his research before he puts notes like that on cars. Also, whoever complained should look at the license plate before complaining about something they know nothing about. I will stay there again because I like the place and the staff--AND--I'll park in the handicap spot.

Near the train station, there are several hotels around. BEST WEST's standardized room facilities and services are comfortable, clean and affordable. Although it is a fast hotel, it is not small, the underground ground can be parked, but the underground garage parking is charged for overnight. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but basic bread, juice, yogurt, milk, cereal, coffee, hot dog sausage, eggs and a little fruit are enough to eat, you can make crepes, children like this.

Great service. I called ahead to request a late check-in because my flight was delayed, and they had someone at the desk when I finally got there. They also helped me get a new room key card when mine wasn’t working properly. The hotel is also in the heart of downtown and close to a C-Train station.

I have stayed at many hotels in Calgary but this is my go to unless my work books us. The staff here are great and service in general is awesome. I like the selection of ppv movies including one's still in theaters. The restaurant and lounge are nice as is the free airport shuttle. The best rooms are the king bed rooms on the 5th floor.

This new hotel is located just a short distance west of the Calgary Airport. It is very fresh and clean. Rooms are not large but are very comfortable and the design and appointments are terrific. Believe every room has a full kitchen including a stove top and dishwasher. Utensils and dishes were more than adequate. Only pots and pans were a bit sparce. There is a coffee bar but no toaster. Had a great sleep each of the 2 nights we stayed. The heat/ac unit worked very well and best of all, it was quiet. And the window can be opened a bit. We did not use the restaurant but there is a breakfast buffet for $10.50/person and a full-service restaurant. The hotel has fitness centre, pool and free shuttle service to and from the airport. Only negative is we found that lighting for the bathroom mirror, even with the separate light that goes all around the edge of the mirror on, could be better. Value for money spent was very good. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

GGuest User 2022.09.08
I’m giving this 4 stars based on the Oasis Waterpark and our time spent there. Without that, I would score the hotel as a 3 (3.5). The hotel room itself was pretty standard. 2 queen beds, clean enough except for a dirty vent in the bathroom and a pre-existing stain on the carpet (see photos.) The air conditioning unit in the room was incredibly noisy and made for a rough night sleep on night 1. On night 2, I opened the window to allow for some “street white noise” and this helped to lessen the noises made when the unit turned on and off. Room was clean, housekeeping staff friendly and prompt to make our room up after night 1. I will note that the shower pressure was minimal, which made washing shampoo out of the hair challenging. The Oasis Waterpark is great. We missed the bulk of the Labour Day weekend travellers and had hours here to ourselves. Waterpark staff were incredibly kind. They also stay busy! Some observations from the Waterpark: - The slides are cleaned daily, which is great. It does result in minimal downtime for one/both slides for a bit, but I can appreciate keeping them clean. - The rest of the Oasis was kept clean, with staff frequently spraying things down. - I lost count of how many times water quality was tested for all bodies of water, great work. - Water in the main pool was pleasant, warm in the toddler pool, and a bit chilly in the pool where the water slides dump you. (Not a bad thing as it encourages people to move along out of the way quickly.) - Hot tubs were definitely hot! - It notes no people under 16 in the hot tubs but children were in them with their parents (we did the same, kids needed to warm up after the slides.) I see no issue with this if times are kept short. - Dry sauna was closed for the duration - The water slides are great but safety rules must be observed. We saw two injuries and both times it was when people were not following posted rules (tandem rides, entering the slide before the previous rider was most of the way down, sliding headfirst.) We will stay again so that we can visit the Waterpark.

AAntoine BelaieffShow that you care! The hotel is new, beautiful and well located. The breakfast room is impressive with its size, tall ceilings, views and terrace. The breakfast itself is great with its variety, including waffles and a delicious South Asian(?) vegetable stew each day. The suites are large and well equipped, and the bed comfortable. Now if only the staff could treat customers a bit better. We paid $30 for underground parking, which was important to us because we got an upgraded rental car and were liable for it. On the second day, the garage was completely full, with more cars entering the garage - thanks to a broken capacity indicator that permanently shows 208 spaces. Staff basically blamed it on the fact that the garage is a private facility unrelated to the hotel. They sent us to two nearby surface lots. One was only available till 8:00 at a cost of $22.52. The second one was a dirt field. 1. I don’t care whose lot it is. You sold me access to it at an extortionate price and did not mention any other options, implicitly endorsing it. 2. Don’t sell more spaces than you have, especially at that price. 3. Know and explain options. Don’t direct your customers to a lot that only sells space till 8:00 for over 3 times the price as the next lot. You are wasting my time. Then at 4:00 am, we were woken up by a loud motor noise coming from the fridge. We had to move it and unplug it (it’s a full size fridge, not a hotel fridge). The clerk’s reaction? “Sorry about that, I’ll tell maintenance.” We had one night parking taken off the bill. No consideration for the hassle both from the parking and the fridge. You can do better. Better policies, better communication and a bit more generosity. Overall, not a good experience.

GGuest UserThe Dorian and the courtyard are next to one another. The Dorian is a very nice place to stay. The room is a good size and has a large bathroom. On the 27th floor there's a nice restaurant and on the second floor is another good restaurant option that's open B, L and dinner. The mattress is comfortable, it's quite. I definitely would stay here again. It's also connected to a Skywalk.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a favourite for us. Location is North side of the airport, a little tricky to get into. One of those places you can easily see but how do I get there. Other than a restaurant on site, and a Tim Hortons close by, there are no eating establishments within easy walking distance. Check in is efficient, rooms are large and clean. Shuttle service is provided to the airport. Breakfast is available and with a very decent selection. The hotel itself is modern and very well kept.

Ffang1025The location is too bad to find, the hotel is on the highway side, I saw that I couldn’t get in. I took a few laps to enter the hotel area. GGuest UserMy family stayed here for one night upon our arrival in Calgary since our flight wasn't scheduled to arrive until 10 pm and we were heading out to Banff the next day. It was a good thing that we did as our checked luggage got delayed for a day and it took a until 1130 pm until we were able to arrive at the hotel due to the paperwork involved. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from baggage claim. Our first impression upon check in was that it was a modern hotel with good service. We quickly checked in and then came back down to try to grab some dinner. Last call at the restaurant was at 11:45. Only a limited menu was available since the kitchen had already started cleaning up, so we ordered a burger, fish and chips, a reuben, and a salad. After a 10 minute wait, the food came out and it was really good. Everything was cooked very well, and even my wife who doesn't like salad, wanted more salad. I would rate the restaurant as a place worth visiting as a standalone restaurant. The next morning, my kids had a complementary breakfast due to my titanium status which they enjoyed as well. My wife went down later and had the salmon and another salad which she ate every single bite of. The hotel is also located right next to the car rental counters so it was a 2 minute walk to get our rental car when we left for Banff. I highly recommend this airport hotel when you are in Calgary and be sure to eat at the restaurant. We're planning to stop in for a bite before our departing flight.

GGuest UserOur flight departing Calgary was cancelled for 24 hours so we were put up in this hotel by the airline. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, special shout out to Stacey in the lounge who worked so hard to make sure everyone whose flight was cancelled was fed and full of drinks! Also special shout out to the chef that night, he was alone and still managed to get all the delicious food out in a timely manner! These two really stepped up and made our rather gloomy stay much more enjoyable! The rooms were clean and comfortable, big soft pillows on the beds and you could control your own room temperature. The front desk staff also accommodated a late check out for us as we had so much time to waste the next day. Thank you to the staff, you’ve really worked hard to turn our trip around!

GGuest UserThis hotel is an older style and the decor, including the rooms, is very dated but our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a room with two Queen beds, a microwave, bar fridge and a comfortable chair and, although the hotel was quite busy, it was quiet. A couple of negatives - the rug badly needed replacing as it was wrinkled, the in-room air conditioning/heater was extremely noisy and for those who rely on their electronics, there was only one USB charger. Check in and out was quick and easy and all staff we encountered were very friendly. The hotel is rather isolated in a mainly industrial area and there is virtually nothing within walking distance. I felt the rate we paid was on the high side, especially when looking at the normal rates advertised, however, the location was convenient for us as we had an appropriate nearby.

GGuest UserA really unwelcoming receptionist was on duty when I checked in. Grumpy and used unfriendly tone when we discussed. The room was quite big, but what an awful filthy floor! The carpet on the floor was full of dog hair and generally smelly. The bed was ok, but it was not evenly leveled between left and right side. I almost fell of the bed on one side. The bathroom was ok with hot water. The wifi was strong. The breakfast was just a sandwich, a donut and a juice. That's all. Cheap stay for a hotel, but not for a demanding guest.
