Room quite big, comfy bed. Forniture and stile very old fashion, or just old. Basic breakfast. Nice position in down town. Nice people at the reception

This location is so perfect if you want to walk around the streets of Calgary. My room was a standard King it was the best experience I’ve ever had. They just had a moment of tech issues when it comes to claiming my breakfast voucher, but aside from that, the staff were so nice, they kept the room clean, the amenities were so worth it.

In order to take my children to attend the Christmas party held in the hotel, I booked it for two days so that I could see the party directly when I went downstairs. How should I put it, it is a better value for money in the city center. The location is very good, with Ctrain and Bar Street nearby within walking distance. The room service is also very good, and the food selection and quality are good. The crib is also a playpen; the room is too small, the water in the sink is not easy to adjust the temperature, but the bath water is OK; the bedding is a common problem in Canadian hotels, I really don’t like two sheets sandwiching the quilt, but it seems to be like this here; parking The daily charge of $35 is quite exaggerated.

Showering in the rain is not advisable and inconvenient, and the facilities are relatively old. It's not very close to the airport, just a 15-minute drive. However, it provides a 24-hour shuttle bus to the airport every hour. If you call to pick up from the airport, it can arrive within 15 minutes. I’m giving this 4 stars based on the Oasis Waterpark and our time spent there. Without that, I would score the hotel as a 3 (3.5). The hotel room itself was pretty standard. 2 queen beds, clean enough except for a dirty vent in the bathroom and a pre-existing stain on the carpet (see photos.) The air conditioning unit in the room was incredibly noisy and made for a rough night sleep on night 1. On night 2, I opened the window to allow for some “street white noise” and this helped to lessen the noises made when the unit turned on and off. Room was clean, housekeeping staff friendly and prompt to make our room up after night 1. I will note that the shower pressure was minimal, which made washing shampoo out of the hair challenging. The Oasis Waterpark is great. We missed the bulk of the Labour Day weekend travellers and had hours here to ourselves. Waterpark staff were incredibly kind. They also stay busy! Some observations from the Waterpark: - The slides are cleaned daily, which is great. It does result in minimal downtime for one/both slides for a bit, but I can appreciate keeping them clean. - The rest of the Oasis was kept clean, with staff frequently spraying things down. - I lost count of how many times water quality was tested for all bodies of water, great work. - Water in the main pool was pleasant, warm in the toddler pool, and a bit chilly in the pool where the water slides dump you. (Not a bad thing as it encourages people to move along out of the way quickly.) - Hot tubs were definitely hot! - It notes no people under 16 in the hot tubs but children were in them with their parents (we did the same, kids needed to warm up after the slides.) I see no issue with this if times are kept short. - Dry sauna was closed for the duration - The water slides are great but safety rules must be observed. We saw two injuries and both times it was when people were not following posted rules (tandem rides, entering the slide before the previous rider was most of the way down, sliding headfirst.) We will stay again so that we can visit the Waterpark.

Hotel is old and needs an upgrade! The room felt so cramped and the beds were creaky. We had stains on the carpet in our room. The desk chairs in our room were rock hard and uncomfortable. Hotel also charges a fee for having a safe in the room which is silly since most, if not all, hotels have that. The shower also has barely any pressure.

Hotel did not return our deposit of CAD 180 even though we’re sure we didn’t break anything. Tried calling them but they told us to call at 10am, yet to call again as we’re busy lately. Food was great and room was clean. Kitchen staff was kind but took long time to refill. One type of food was all gone even if it was still early (potatoes). Front desk staff were good

AAntoine BelaieffShow that you care!
The hotel is new, beautiful and well located. The breakfast room is impressive with its size, tall ceilings, views and terrace. The breakfast itself is great with its variety, including waffles and a delicious South Asian(?) vegetable stew each day. The suites are large and well equipped, and the bed comfortable. Now if only the staff could treat customers a bit better.
We paid $30 for underground parking, which was important to us because we got an upgraded rental car and were liable for it. On the second day, the garage was completely full, with more cars entering the garage - thanks to a broken capacity indicator that permanently shows 208 spaces.
Staff basically blamed it on the fact that the garage is a private facility unrelated to the hotel. They sent us to two nearby surface lots. One was only available till 8:00 at a cost of $22.52. The second one was a dirt field.
1. I don’t care whose lot it is. You sold me access to it at an extortionate price and did not mention any other options, implicitly endorsing it.
2. Don’t sell more spaces than you have, especially at that price.
3. Know and explain options. Don’t direct your customers to a lot that only sells space till 8:00 for over 3 times the price as the next lot. You are wasting my time.
Then at 4:00 am, we were woken up by a loud motor noise coming from the fridge. We had to move it and unplug it (it’s a full size fridge, not a hotel fridge). The clerk’s reaction? “Sorry about that, I’ll tell maintenance.”
We had one night parking taken off the bill. No consideration for the hassle both from the parking and the fridge.
You can do better. Better policies, better communication and a bit more generosity.
Overall, not a good experience.
KKathyWe loved our experience at The Dorian! Room was beautiful with so many details covered. Bathroom was huge (hard to find these days) and we especially loved the details in the wet bar cart. Service was friendly from check in to check out. We did not eat on site, but the location was in walking distance to our dinner date. Only negative was the cleaning staff talking loudly in the hallway at 9 am for about 20 minutes. I should have let them know their voices carried into our room, but instead didn't say anything...I regret that after the fact. All in all, we had a great time and will for sure book at the Dorian again!
GGuest UserOur flight departing Calgary was cancelled for 24 hours so we were put up in this hotel by the airline. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, special shout out to Stacey in the lounge who worked so hard to make sure everyone whose flight was cancelled was fed and full of drinks! Also special shout out to the chef that night, he was alone and still managed to get all the delicious food out in a timely manner! These two really stepped up and made our rather gloomy stay much more enjoyable! The rooms were clean and comfortable, big soft pillows on the beds and you could control your own room temperature. The front desk staff also accommodated a late check out for us as we had so much time to waste the next day. Thank you to the staff, you’ve really worked hard to turn our trip around!
GGuest UserI was in Calgary for the marathon, the start of which was an easy walk from the hotel. The staff were very accommodating, the room was comfortable, and I would recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a room convenient to the Stampede grounds. If you’re travelling light, the walk from the 300 (airport) bus stop is not too far.
Ffang1025The location is too bad to find, the hotel is on the highway side, I saw that I couldn’t get in. I took a few laps to enter the hotel area. The hotel is located in the airport development zone of the airport. There is basically no one. No car is sure. . The hotel is newly built, the price is low and the facilities are good.
GGuest UserThis is unique to Canada and where it can be very cold, so the hotel is located with direct connection to the airport terminal, what can one ask for when the outside temperature is freezing? The hotel is new and room is well maintained.
CChengMy stay at Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Airport North was fantastic! The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, making it perfect for travelers. I loved the free shuttle service, which made getting to and from the airport a breeze. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. I also appreciated the new coin laundry facilities, which were super convenient during my stay. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the complimentary breakfast had plenty of options to start the day right. Highly recommend for anyone traveling through Calgary!
GGuest UserEverything was great - clean rooms, comfy bed, great breakfast, convenient shuttle to airport, very friendly and helpful staff - EXCEPT, in a hotel with “no smoking “ signs all over, we opened our room and were greeted by a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. We arrived after midnight and had to leave early, so I did not request a different room, and boy do I regret that decision. I had the worst night of sleep ever- the smoke smell was so strong. So if you plan to stay here, be sure you don’t get room 217, and ask if the room you are assigned was ever a smoking room. That’s all I can figure is what happened here. I would be very leery of staying here again based on what happened, and in spite of all the nice amenities the hotel offers.
GGuest UserA really unwelcoming receptionist was on duty when I checked in. Grumpy and used unfriendly tone when we discussed. The room was quite big, but what an awful filthy floor! The carpet on the floor was full of dog hair and generally smelly. The bed was ok, but it was not evenly leveled between left and right side. I almost fell of the bed on one side. The bathroom was ok with hot water. The wifi was strong. The breakfast was just a sandwich, a donut and a juice. That's all. Cheap stay for a hotel, but not for a demanding guest.
