Globales Apartamentos Cala Vinas Only Adults 16

I apologise for the long delay in writing this review! We stayed at Globales Cala Vinas apar**ents in September 2022. Unfortunately, due to a number of health issues I never got around to writing this review until now! I booked this accommodation after my partner and I fell in love with the location. Cala Vinas is truly beautiful! We also liked the images we saw of the apar**ents and were not disappointed. We arrived late at night and needed to collect the keys from the sister hotel next door. Not a problem as the reception at the hotel is open 24/7. We also paid extra for a room safe and the island tourist tax which is a government taxation and nothing to do with the hotel. It was around 30 euros if my memory serves me. Transfer to the hotel from the airport takes around one hour. We used Suntransfers.com which we booked online before leaving the UK. If you book a room with a sea view you will not be disappointed! The view across the bay is amazing. Our balcony was huge with views on all sides. The apar**ent we had had a bedroom, toilet/bathroom and a lounge/kitchen. It came fully equipped with everything you need to prepare and cook food. The furniture was a little dated but comfortable. The bedroom was very dark having no windows so we actually slept on the bed sofa in the lounge. But that was our choice! The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels supplied. We had no problems with the housekeeping staff who were very professional. Noise from other guests was minimal and only caused a problem once in seven days. But I have never stayed anywhere that didn't have these issues. Cala Vinas is itself very small with just a couple of shops offering the basic essentials. However, it is very picturesque with a lovely bay suitable for swimming and water sports in general. Very safe for children! You can also rent sun loungers on the beach. Magaluf is the nearest town and is a brisk ten minute walk to the centre. Or, you can get a taxi [advised if you are bringing back lots of shopping] and a regular bus stop to Magaluf can be found just outside the apar**ents. All in all Cala Vinas is the perfect choice for holidaymakers both young and old. Unless, you want to party all night long! In which case Magaluf town is your better choice. For shopping I recommend Aldi or Eroski for value. If you use the smaller local shops the prices can be quite high. Globales Cala Vinas Apar**ents is a great choice if you prefer the flexibility of a self catering holiday. We had a wonderful time and will be returning again this year. Regarding the pool - it is quite small and not really appropriate for young children. However, the view across the bay towards Magaluf is amazing. We found the pool area very pleasant and a nice spot to sunbathe during the day. No bar service sadly but you can't have everything - can you!

Where do I start Booked for 2 days left after 10 hours. 430 euros later. Dated , smelly, covered in ants. Tiny pool which was nearly 1.7 metres deep meaning young kids learning to swim couldn’t swim safely - paper thin walls. Have to deal with hotel next door instead of apar**ent office. Totally overpriced. Only thing good was view from pool over bay. Avoid, avoid avoid

Lovely hotel, most staff are friendly. Major issue is the pool. Despite signs everywhere about guests not reserving sun beds using items, this is clearly not enforced. Towels are left out overnight meaning there’s is no chance of obtaining a sunbed even if you get up at the crack of dawn. Having spoken to the staff about it there was little response. We stayed for 5 days and were unable to get a sun bed the entire time despite most being unoccupied (other than towels). This seems hugely unfair and has a big impact. We ended up going to the beach every day as this was the only way to get one. We stayed in the apar**ents, which were spotlessly clean but very tired and in need of refurbishment. There was a lot of noise from adjoining apar**ents, but again, staff showed little interest. It’s a real shame that the hotel management don’t address these issues which keep recurring in the reviews. Despite the hotel and location being lovely, I would not return unless these issues are rectified.
