Great stay, huge bed, lovely breakfast tea provided. Buzzing pub. Great location for what we needed

Everything was very nice, we had everything we needed. Not sure if room not used for a while as a few cobwebs about but main let down was the state of the carpet in the room. A few patches of spillage and I think a small amount of sick on the carpet. Carpet wash wouldn’t go a miss.

had a good stay at the red Lion, the rooms were comfy with everything you need. If we were being being picky i think the cleaning could have been better. parking is ok and the pub is really nice in a village with a few pubs and restaurants.

we needed better info on the velux window system as the room was very warm in the evening ie unable to understand the wall mounted control having said that ,an enjoyable stay.

We stayed at the Red Lion on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd Sept. 21 whilst attending a wedding in the village. The rooms are in a separate purpose built building a few yards from the pub. Our room and ensuite was immaculately clean and the modern shower provided lots of hot water. It was especially quiet both nights despite being next to the busy beer garden. Our group of seven ate in the pub on Thursday evening, the food was exceptionally good with a wide variety on offer to suit the range of ages in our group. Breakfast was not avaiable other than on the Saturday morning but that wasn't a problem as there are a number of cafes within a few yards of the pub. Histon is an ideal location for visiting Cambridge and the surrounding areas and we will certainly be staying there again in the future.

Nice rooms with good en-suite facilities - clean and warm (-5 centigrade outside) - proper old fashioned bar with good selection of drinks.

Excellent stay. Rooms well kept and very clean. Beds very comfortable.Staff were efficient. We really enjoyed our stay. Easy access to Cambridge and dog friendly. Could not fault . Hope to stay again

Stayed for 3 nights, the room was pleasant, warm and quiet, I didn't eat in the pub itself as I felt the atmosphere a little unwelcoming, however they do offer a good range of real ales!

Rooms tucked away behind pub in quiet location. Lovely village with easy access to Cambridge. Friendly staff Very comfortable bed. Room large and spacious but not homely or inviting. Carpet disgustingly stained. Bathroom adequate but very tired.
