The Old Red Lion Inn

A great pub and inn. Would totally recommend. Meal was delicious - one of the best we’ve had on our trip. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Clean and comfortable room with everything you need.

We had used towels hanging on the bathroom door otherwise the staff were very nice

Very warm welcome which was lovely and while I didn't eat in, I did drink in the bar and again, everyone was super helpful and pleasant. Room I had was spacious and very quiet.

Went to eat restaurant was full was kindly placed in bar area lovely welcome. Service brilliant, we had a Sunday lunch which was a good portion and very well presented- the gravy was amazing!! Overall the was food fantastic!!! Will definitely be back. Thank you

The property is in a remote location. Breakfast was continental (toast and pastry) unless you paid an extra fee, and the coffee was not very good. The rooms were fine, but could do with updating, the carpet, furniture and tv were tired and old. The bed was a double with a solid end - my 6ft partner struggled to be comfy as his feet hit the end - would not recommend for anyone tall. There was also only one bottle of water in the (very noisy) fridge and one pack of biscuits. We ate in the restaurant and the food was quite good, check in was easy.

It was a last minute booking and we were so pleased we stumbled across the Old Red Lion. The staff were very helpful and polite. Out room was spacious and lovely and clean. We were pleasantly surprised with the continental breakfast that was in the fridge in our room on arrival - it was great. The bar and restaurant looked very welcoming - we will definitely book again when in the area. Thank you
