The reservation was for a spa hotel, but all the spa trea**ents booked for multiple days were broken, and the customer was not notified in advance.

Vacation with my wife. The view from the room is first-class. The service is very average. The elevator is broken. The bar on the rooftop has the best view, and it has never been open. The attitude is rather indifferent

The breakfast is average, normal standard, nothing special. The room is too small, it is rare to live in such a small room at this price. There was only one chair in the room, and the waiter asked for an extra chair. Judging from the picture posted on the door, we lived in the smallest room in the entire hotel. Really unhappy.

A superb hotel that always exceeds my expectations whenever I stay there which is about every five or six weeks. Whether it be the warm and helpful welcome by the reception staff, the well-furnished room with wide range of refreshments and very comfortable bed, the excellent breakfasts, and the imaginative menu in the dining room with outstanding views over the city, the Varsity provides everything you could wish for. Even when I occasionally forget some piece of IT equipment the hotel seems to find a spare to lend me for the duration of my stay!

The Varsity is a very comfortable, well-run, friendly hotel in a fantastic location. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean and well equipped. The restaurant on the 6th floor has expansive views over the city and breakfast was excellent. The hotel is a short walk from so many of Cambridge's attractions

Great location close to the river and historic centre of Cambridge. Short walk to lots of lovely Locations. The fifth floor was quiet with nice views. We enjoyed the roof terrace both nights we were staying. It’s quite a quirky hotel with interesting decor and rooms named after Cambridge collages which is a lovely touch. We also really appreciated the valet parking.

Lovely hotel and a great location. Staff were very helpful and the valley parking was excellent. Easy to find and staff knew the area really well so could give us tips as to where to visit. The roof to bar has lively cocktails and a great view of the city. Breakfast was grand and would definitely stay again.

The staff our fantastic; attentive, helpful and engaging. They parked my car for me and in its return gave me a bottle of water for the journey, how wonderful. I’ve recommended several clients to use this for team days and it works really well. I highly recommend it.
