Arrived early to a very friendly welcome from staff on reception. hoped to drop off bags and head out but room was ready early so that was a bonus. We stayed in the pol Roger room and Whilst the room was generally clean it clearly needs updating, patchy repairs to fittings and different coloured paint patches in bathroom. Lime scale is also a problem in the bath and shower. Windows need attention too. Beds and bedding were comfy and high quality. Bar staff were also very friendly and welcoming . Not sure the stay warranted the high price tag bearing in mind no on site parking and breakfast was not included.

Everything was perfect. Staff very helpful and professional. Good location for shopping, hospital etc. Bus stop just outside the hotel. Perfectly cooked breakfast . Up to date USB sockets in bedrooms and refurbished room. Bar is small but lovely

We paid on arrival for an upgrade, but the room was really rather tired, poor lighting, inconvenient plug locations, no USB sockets at all - And the blind on one of the two windows was broken and so permanently down. We mentioned it before going out for several hours but it was not fixed. Very disappointing after a couple of excellent stays in the past.

The staff at Cambridge hotel du vin enhanced my stay at this lovely hotel. Gorgeous breakfast and service Quiet, yet very handy for City Centre, a short stroll away. Plenrt of cafés, restaurants & pubsen route Thanks to Kai, Mohamed, Habiba & Atilla

From arrival to leaving the hotel team made me feel welcome, special mention to Amara at Breakfast & David in the Bistro - who were both lovely & gave really good customer service not just to myself but others in the bistro & the food - wow amazing! The hotel is located in a lovely area, really well maintained & spotlessly clean Will definitely be back!

I loved my stay here. The building is old with plenty of character. The bed is huge and very comfy, the bath and separate shower are spacious and a real treat. The robe is thick and fluffy and it was a pleasure to spend time in my room. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options to choose from, everything I tried was great. All the staff were very friendly and happy to help. The only downside to my room (the Henley) was the staircase with a locked door at the top - I assume another guest’s room was behind this door as I could very clearly the conversations a couple were having in there and also could have joined in on on a Zoom call they had as I could easily hear both sides of the conversation. It was a bit disconcerting as I kept expecting the door at the top of the stairs to suddenly open as their voices were so loud. I appreciate it’s a quirk of the building due to its age but a shame that it intruded on the peace and quiet of the otherwise very tranquil setting. I would very happily return to stay here again but would perhaps request a different room.

Room was lovely but common areas all looked a bit tired and shabby. The checking in experience was chaotic and all a bit underwhelming and unfriendly. Every greeting was started with give me a moment, one receptionist turned up with a plate of chips to eat and then there was room confusion. Sure they were just having an understaffed bad day but took the gloss off the visit.

Lovely property. Being on the lower ground floor suites meant there was a sewer smell. Towel rails weren’t working small things otherwise lovely stay. Our second visit here.

Lovely hotel. Reception staff were so friendly and helpful. Room we had was as always luxurious and comfortable - lovely roll top bath and separate huge monsoon shower. Dinner in the bistro was great and breakfast was as always, superb! Staff were all super helpful. Location was a short walk into the centre with a tourist bus stop just down the road from the hotel! No dedicated parking with the hotel but lots of options not that far away. We have stayed at a few HdV’s- they are all lovely and never disappoint and would always recommend.
