It can't be regarded as a hotel at all, it's just an ordinary student apartment that has been modified casually. There is no one on duty at the front desk at the door, and there are no so-called hotel door signs at all, so guests can't find the hotel. And the whole process of self-service check-in is required, which is completely out of proportion to the price. If you don't understand English or can't make calls to the UK, you will have to sleep on the street that night.

The location is great and the front desk staff as obliging as other reviews say. The rooms are split between those overlooking the street and those overlooking Parkers Piece, and the latter are more scenic, and quiet. The rooms, bathrooms, beds, and the elevator are really small. There are no cupboards to hang things. The breakfast of coffee/tea, toast, croissant is absolutely fine, but maybe for the price, one could have expected more. We found everything including the wifi to be in good order.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were a good size and was provided with everything needed. A little noisy through the night from the air con units in other rooms but overall a really good stay

Easy to find, great location. Our room was bigger than some suites we've stayed in and we had a great view of the park! My parents stayed with us and even their smaller room was lovely. Great selection of teas, coffees and breakfast options and a lovely lounge to sit in of an evening. Reasonably priced even during the Cambridge Half weekend, would definitely stay here again!

A bit noisy from the neighbours, from the street and from the park. Otherwise, this was really an awesome hotel. Everyone where really nice and the breakfast was good.

What a lovely experience this was… Thank you so much to the team @The Regent, in particular to Tracy who went above and beyond to ensure that my partner & I had a great stay. I couldn’t be more grateful for the generosity expressed by this hotel for the duration of our visit to Cambridge & for the overall seamless, peaceful & romantic experiences that this hotel boasts. If you are looking for a nice getaway in the heart of Cambridge with stunning window views, informative & helpful staff and a great continental breakfast then I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Regent. If we come back to Cambridge we will be sure to return to the hotel. Thank you!

I booked two nights stay there so that my son and of course myself get a good night sleep before his Cambridge interview but we had two bad nights and couldn't sleep well at all due to extremely poor floor insulation. One inconsiderate guest was staying above my room (my room was The Park) and due to some reason his/her day started at midnight and he/she continued marching on the room up until at least 1am or more. it was a nightmare for us and it was first night stay in the hotel. We can feel that the person is walking on our floor and it was so loud and thumping noise that even a deep sleeper will wake up and feel difficult to sleep Same repeated next night, the guest started marching on his/her room from about 5am and continued until 7am or so, that spoiled our second night although it wasnt that important for us. So, if you want to stay there for a good night sleep then I would recommend to stay on the 3rd floor (top floor i think) to avoid such floor insulation related inconvenience Other than that the hotel is good, location is great, staff is very helpful, breakfast is good although it's just cornflakes, croissant and coffee etc. Yoghurt and fruit was also there. It was generous and no complaint on that. I would ask hotel to improve the sound insulation otherwise you would feel somebody is walking on your chest In terms of coming back I may not.
