Painter's Lodge, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

My husband and I spent one night here recently. Our room in the main lodge was spacious, clean and had a lovely view of the water. We enjoyed the ambiance of the lodge and its surroundings. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only negative was the breakfast buffet. I would give this a miss and go somewhere else for breakfast. We did not eat at the Pub so no input on the food there. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This is the sixth and last time we will spend any money at this place. The last visit was the beginning of the Canucks' playoff series and we happened to see on their Facebook page a burger/beer special when watching the games on their pub TV. We arrived to no special. Another couple asked about it and were told it would be honoured. We had already ordered. Obviously nothing going on. We stopped in for a glass of wine and some wings on Father's Day. The server was very sweet. The once again revamped menu showed some promise, however, the wine selection was laughable. The "sommelier's choice" was one selection from a box. Apparently the Chardonnay was a better brand but instead of the $15 per glass charge she said she would charge $9. Cab Sav the red choice. Then the prices per bottle - who the heck pays $165.00 at a place like this?! Who are they catering to? It's almost as if they want the place to fail. As locals we are quite embarrassed that this is what visitors experience. Very very unfortunate.

I loved this place! Got an early check in and a waterfront room. The room had the feel of a lodge and it was so relaxing to sit on the patio and read. The gardens are beautiful and it was just what we needed after three days of camping. I would love to go back.

Don’t waste your money here. This establishment is so run down it should not exist any more. There are areas in the structures that are so rotten the deck posts do not touch the ground. The grass is 10” tall and most gardens unkept. No cook avalible in kitchen and staff could not provide a microwave for the room.

Staff is great, rooms are great, food in pub is average, buffet was overpriced and quality was low. Check in was easy.

Mediocre. Needs an influx of $$ to update it. Limited dining options and hours. Pub menu only for dinner. Breakfast buffet was mediocre.

Beautiful resort with amazing views and staff. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast in the dinning room was great. Staff were very helpful and kind. Eric was awesome. Would love to return to this resort with family for a longer stay.

Lovely facility with excellent accommodation, landscaped grounds and beautiful views along the ocean. The staff were very friendly and service oriented.

Views were beautiful. Staff excellent. Landscaping/grounds because I am in the industry needs some TLC
