Really enjoyed our stay, rooms are basic but spotlessly clean, the staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a good one. We both found the rooms very quiet for sleeping, everything is quiet by midnight anyway. The pool is lovely and we used it a lot, very well maintained with showers and fresh towels. The sandy beach is just across the road , there’s a sun terrace with loungers if you don’t fancy the beach. Food is plentiful both breakfast and evening meal, however l have lactose intolerance so not so much choice for me. There is a bar adjoining and not expensive again very well organised , clean and great bar staff. There is a lovely walk from the hotel to the marina and beyond. Lastly thanks to Alison for answering our daily questions as to where to walk , buses to catch where from and where to.

Beautifully situated one street back from the beachfront promenade and 50 metres from a sandy beach. The hotel is small and quiet. The hotel's Don Juan bar has the cheapest beer in the resort at 2.20 euros per pint. Walking to C'an Picafort centre takes approx. 20 minutes via the promenade which passes the large marina and various *****s of sand. The meals are somewhat basic but there is a daily choice of at least four hot dishes plus very fresh salad bar and the desserts always include cake, ice cream and fresh fruit. The staff are extremely frienly, polite and helpful whether they be reception, waitresses or cleaners. The indoor pool is open from 8am to 7pm and kept very clean.

Lovely break at the Bonsai. The room was good, had everything I needed. There was the noise from the next door hotel’s entertainment but that finished at 11pm. Breakfast and dinner were nice, enough choice for dinner and plenty of fresh fruit available at meal times.

Hotel is dated and could be so much better as it is in a good location. First night discovered the sheets were stained. The hotel is also very noisy depending on which side you are situated on from morning until night. Also no vegetarian or vegan options.

We had 3 rooms as there were 6 of us, Ages 79, 48, 45, 20, 17 and 15. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a suite which had a double bed and a living area which was lovely and spacious. The other 2 rooms had plenty of room and all had balconies. The pool area which is inside was great, the teenagers came to the beach in the morning and then pool in the afternoon for some shade. The sun terrace is a major sun trap, but plenty of umbrellas for shade. Alison and Angel on reception were helpful and very accommodating. We felt we had a personable experience as the hotel is quite small in comparison to the others in the area. Anna who works in the restaurant and Don Juan bar was helpful and welcoming! The food was lovely the whole week, there was something for everyone to eat every night even for our fussiest eater! The beach is a minute walk away and had a lifeguard, toilets and bars. It's clean and a really lovely place to spend time. There are rocks which are great for snorkeling around. If we were to come to Mallorca again I would definitely 100% stay at the Bonsai again.

Handy small hotel, very close to the beach. Excellent aircon. Rooms a bit dated but very clean and good daily room cleaning. Nice balcony with partial seaview. The indoor pool was lovely after the beach for a cool down. The staff were all very pleasent, Angel and Ana especially. We managed to eat plenty, despite being vegetarian. Potato wedges, pasta with mushrooms, onion rings, rice, mixed veg, salad. All good. A bit messy with the serving utensils at times. Deserts were OK, cakes were a bit tasteless, cold rice pudding was yummy, ice cream, melon, creme caramel, fresh fruits all good. Lot's to do, at the busier area, jetski, Buggy vehicle tour, parasailing, we did it all, fantastic. Market stalls along prom on Friday. Do the ting ting landtrain, it's fun. Lovely vegetarian paella at the Jamaican bar. Nice cocktails at Guapas bar opposite. Listen to live music at the beach at the weekend. Fantastic sunset. Too hot to hire bicycles, next time maybe. Lot's of funny statues everywhere, paid for by the tourist tax I expect, Great holiday.

A pleasant if somewhat run down hotel, in a good location 5mins from the beach. Rooms old fashioned but very clean. Food was not suitable for vegetarians, absolutely no effort made when we told them. The dinner each night was 2 different meats and a fish dish "for the vegetarians". We did inform them vegetarians do not eat fish and were disbelieved. The main clientele is the over 70s, who admittedly were quite happy with the plain "school dinners"style food. 2 meats, 1 fish, potatoe and a boiled vegetable each evening. The vegetable was boiled green beans (with ham chopped through it) one evening and boiled brussel sprouts or peas other evenings. There was a salad area - lettuce leaves, grated carrot and grated beetroot each evening- not enough to constitute a dinner. One evening to our excitement a chick pea salad appeared, sadly mixed through with tuna fish. We ate out most nights despite paying for full board. A very nice Chinese about 15mins walk away that does tofu dishes. And a good Mexican 5mins walk from hotel. One nights menu attached

First of all, my wife and I would like to say how very reasonable the price of our holiday at the Hotel Bonsai was as well as the locality. I say this because we have stayed at the hotel three times before and always found the staff very pleasantly hospitable and helpful in manner, whether reception clerks and office workers, night porters, room cleaners, cooks and kitchen staff, all of whom work very hard to help guests. This 11-day holiday on half board was no exception. The generous sized rooms are smart and clean with a good-sized television with BBC coverage. The cupboards have doors which are a little difficult to negotiate but that is not a major problem. We personally found the seaward-facing rooms to our liking. The kitchen staff, particularly Ana, work their socks off but one has to appreciate that any low-priced establishment must make slight cuts with food if they are to keep prices down but that does not necessarily mean that the food is below standard or not tasty and we found no cause to complain personally. The hotel and its pleasant Don Juan adjoined bar face the centre of the quieter and more economical Son Bauló area of Ca’n Picafort and a lovely, safe and sandy beach is just across the road. We organised three excursions efficiently through Alison at Reception. As something of Spanish speakers, other busy staff were very polite in giving us the time of day. If you want a refreshing dip in the small indoor pool of the hotel, it is available at ground level and has a pleasurable jacuzzi, changing rooms and other facilities. In the same locality, there are good bars, shops and nightlife if you want and a fine esplanade. Fellow guests were very pleasant, quiet and friendly. Yes, we had a great time during our stay in the hotel so many thanks to all!
