Great value all inclusive hotel! The hotel is connected to the Royal Solaris and you have access to amenities and restaurants at both hotels. However, the GR Caribe is the more modern and more exclusive hotel. The vibe is notably nicer for couples without kids as the Royal Solaris pools are usually full of families.

There is really no internet in the room, and the WiFi needs to go to the lobby. There are a lot of small programs, but the activities are not written anywhere, so the staff are more enthusiastic, which can make up for it, and the food is average.

I recently stayed at GR Caribe by Solaris in an upgraded deluxe suite from Feb 13-19. The overall experience was fantastic. The hotel provided an awesome stay, and I plan to return next year as I have done for the past 4 years.

The access to the beach is great. It is great that there are 2 hotels owned by the same company next to each other. The hotel has great courtyards.
The food is ok. The buffet would run out of food and it would never get replenish. The food in restaurants was much better. If you didn't make the reservation at the restaurant, you aren't getting in.
Now the bad. The alcohol was really watered down except beer and wine. The service was just ok, many workers would not speak any English. The check in took quite long. People in our group that ordered 2 beds ended up with a single bed and the ones ordered single, ended up with doubles. We were located on the 6th floor and the elevator didn't work most of the time. It gets pretty slippery after rain!
I would rate this hotel 3 out of 5 stars.

This is the third time I have vacationed here. The rooms are lovely in there old fashion Mexican look. I Love the place and love the people who take care of us. They have become friends! And, they can not do enough to make your stay a great experience. The food is excellent. And Anegeli, Eduardo, Mendez and Ricky have especially gone out of their way to serve it with smiles. Talking with other guests there, they all agree that this resort is wonderful. Many have been coming for 20 years or more!
