"Upon check-in at 1 PM, the hotel initially tried to fob us off with a subpar room on the second floor. We had to wait until 3 PM to finally get a room on the sixth floor, only to find the entire floor under renovation with construction workers and materials filling the corridors. This was truly embarrassing for an InterContinental property. When we tried to change to a lagoon-facing room, several front desk staff members shirked responsibility and passed the buck. It took another hour for the lobby manager to finally offer us a spare room on the fourth floor. This hotel is riddled with issues and constant hassles. I strongly recommend avoiding it!"

"First, the pros: 1. Reasonable price. The sea view room is similar to other hotels' basic room types (but the view isn't perfect; there's a bare platform in front of my room). 2. Renovated, it doesn't have the feel of an old hotel. Not a family-friendly hotel, suitable for couples' vacations. The mini-bar is replenished daily. 3. Several restaurants—Mexican, Mediterranean, Japanese, French, steak, and buffet—don't require early reservations; just walk-in. While the food wasn't amazing, it wasn't too bad. Now for the cons: 1. The bathroom water temperature fluctuates wildly, sometimes suddenly becoming extremely hot! 2. The front desk was very unprofessional. They told me only the French restaurant had a dress code, but all the restaurants have one for dinner. I didn't bring enough clothes, and on the first night, no restaurant was available. After arguing for a long time, they finally offered to provide room service. The hotel's attitude of "that's the rule"—offering explanations but not solutions—was disgusting and a major disappointment! 3. Not needing reservations for restaurants means long queues, and the food is slow. If you arrive late, you won't get a table (especially at the steakhouse). 4. There are tiny, transparent bugs crawling on the bed, and I've developed several itchy red bumps."

"I used this hotel because it was the designated hotel for tour pick-up. English is a little difficult to communicate, but they are friendly and can be used with translation apps and gestures. I was able to leave my luggage before checking in and checking out. Shampoo, conditioner, pajamas, toothbrushes, etc. are not provided, so it is better to bring them with you. Hot water is available, but the water pressure is quite weak. On the other hand, the air pressure of the hair dryer was quite strong. It took some skill and power to open and close the door. They came to clean the room and arranged the towels cutely, which made me feel good. There are also several delicious taco restaurants nearby that are frequented by locals, as well as convenience stores such as 7-Eleven, which is convenient. Overall, I think it is good value for money!"

"Please, everyone, avoid this hotel! It was absolutely terrible. From check-in to check-out, it was full of complaints. The service was abysmal. No one helped with our luggage upon arrival; the staff just stood there and watched us carry it ourselves. There was no one to guide us to our room; it took us a full 20 minutes to find it in such a large hotel. The room facilities were outdated, like a hotel from 1990s China, with many things broken. Aside from the beach, it was practically useless. Please, everyone, avoid this hotel!"

The rooms are modern, spacious, and very tastefully decorated, with stunning views of the turquoise sea. The beds are incredibly comfortable and ensure a restful sleep. The hotel's culinary offerings leave nothing to be desired: The breakfast was plentiful and of excellent quality, and dinner in the hotel's restaurant was also a real highlight – creative, fresh, and perfectly coordinated. The location directly on the private beach is ideal, quiet yet central. If you're looking for relaxation, style, and excellent service, this is the place for you. I will definitely return and can wholeheartedly recommend the SLS Hotel Cancun."

"From existing reviews it may be hard to gather a good overview of this property. Our recent stay was our second in 2 years. We have found this property perfect for families with kids 12 and under. The sugar sand is protected by off shore reefs and somewhat of a natural cove, thusly waved breaking at the beach are non existent. Little ones can wade many meters into the the calm ocean. Similarly, the main pool has a beach like entry (0 depth) perfect for new swimmers. Location is near major shopping areas and is an easy, safe walk to Isla Mujueres ferry terminal. Food is similar to the many other all inclusive we have frequented. All though somewhat difficult to secure the reservation required sit down restaurants where all beautifully appointed. The newer sit down (for lunch) beach club restaurant was perfect yet underutilized. The hotel lobby is very attractive, however the rooms themselves are in need to a full soft goods refit. Our room this year, though remarkably clean and plenty of wear evident on the furniture. Overall a fantastic value!"

The setting is stunning, very well-maintained, and the pool is enchanting. There's also a restaurant, which we didn't try, however. Highly recommended, and the location in downtown Cancun is also excellent."

"Nice All-Inclusive hotel directly at the beach, in walking distance to the Cancun tourism center. Good value for money, nice hotel room, good pool, very nice spacious beach area, tasty food in the buffet restaurant, the pizza restaurant and also in the 3rd restaurant. The buffet restaurant is too small for the hotel size but you get used to it. The gym is better than nothing but very small. All in all the hotel is recomendable."

"There are no shops in front of you, it's far from the supermarket, there's a restaurant downstairs, it's expensive and not delicious, and it's far from the sea, so you don't feel like you're on vacation at all. The equipment is older and much worse than the photos show."

"I loved it was great for one night had a lot of fun. I liked the other places around the area but this was a bargain price. Good if you like it lowkey and the morning buffet and that is pretty good but more variety would have been good but I’m not picky. I think it shares a beach with temptation. I saw a bit of adults only things but I did go for a scroll so probably my only fault haha but just saying if you have kids keep them close."
