Our first night we sat and dined at 'the Palapa' and had no problems however the next morning for breakfast when we found a table and sat a young lady came and told us that the next time we needed to wait for her to seat us and it felt as if we were being scolded for not knowing that.

Royal Cancun is on the lagoon side of Cancun and is somewhat quiet, with a nice small beach. We have been owners at the Royal Resorts since 1986 and the RC is the original resort, very charming and quaint. Our C Unit had 2 floors which was awesome, with balconies on both floors with views of the ocean. Front desk staff are very good, particularly Lilia, who is outstanding. There is a small but nice gym which is super important to us. La Trattoria, an on-site restaurant for dinner, was surprisingly good - excellent food and service. We had all-inclusive for breakfast-only and it was worth eating at the La Palapa everyday. Poolside menu is limited but a good variety of options. We were very disappointed about how dirty the pool area and furniture was. It was not cleaned the entire 11 days we were there - usually staff would hose-down the ground and chairs at least every other day but that did not happen. This is - and the outrageous cost in the grocery store - is the only negative feedback we have, but it’s an important one.

This is a small resort and is special because it is quiet and family oriented. The employees make this place, always a smile and a Hola from all.

Need better intra communication between resorts to insure reservations are easily found And customers are not stopped from attending because staff can’t find the reservation.

Lovely quiet property, small with personalized service. Food quality mediocre and expensive to buy without all inclusive.. AI expensive for only 2 restaurants…
