Ibis Cancun Centro

First time staying at this property. I must say I was surprised how close was to different places. First, at front desk employees were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Employees cleaning the rooms as always working hard and always willing to help. Room was clean and did not have any problems. Close to hotel you can walk to Plaza de las Americas and opposite way go to Costco. Past la Plaza there is a view of lagoon where you can run/ walk and get some exercise early in the morning. At lobby you can talk to a lady about any tours. They have tons of places to go. If you want to go into town, you can get a taxi which is more expensive. If you feel adventurous, you can take a local bus which it would cost 10 pesos vs 300 in taxi. Another way is UBER which I took many times. Overall, a great experience being at this hotel. I walked and run around this property so I learned about restaurants and things to see and do, e-mail me for any questions. Otherwise, enjoy your time in beau Cancún.

Good value and location outside of the beach area. Nice room and convenience. Close to the shopping mall with various restaurants and Food Court inside. A lot of inexpensive Mexican restaurants around the hotel.

It was a decent hotel. Our room was a good size with a private patio. The beds were comfortable, and the wifi worked great in the room. There was parking for our car without any extra fees. Downside some of the cosmetics in the room, along with the building, were broken. There was no ice machine available. Air conditioning in our room was leaking when we first got there. Took them about 48 hours to even attempt to fix it. Most of the front desk, along with the supervisor, didn't seem to care at first about the issues. However, Perla was amazing she was super attentive and was able to problem solve quickly. Breakfast was decent, but if you don't like eggs, there are little to no options available.

A reasonable hotel conveniently located downtown. Recently, hotels in Cancun feel like they are even more expensive, and it feels not only in the hotel zone but also in downtown. There is also a supermarket if you walk a little. The front desk is open 24 hours a day, so there is no problem with delays in arriving in Cancun or leaving early in the morning. You can stay very quietly. The towels in the room were very large and I took it on a bus tour to Bacalar, which was very helpful for the cold protection inside the car. There was also a bar on the pool side, so I wanted to use it if I stayed more slowly.
