Silver Sands Sunshine - Angaara

Stayed 2 weeks in March this year. Our 2nd time at this hotel. Another great experience. Close to the beach and well located for lots of great restaurants. Thanks to the owners Lester and Alisha and all their fantastic staff for making us feel so welcome. Can’t wait to return in November.

What a special place to stay! I’m writing this review on our balcony having a refreshment before we head out, Alisha & Lester gave us a 1000 rupees to write a good review (joking 😂) On arriving at the hotel we had an issue with the taxi driver from Goa Miles but Alisha came out to assist and it was quickly sorted and it was very much appreciated. The hotel is classed as a 2 star but Alisha, Lester & all the staff make it a 5 star experience, yes the rooms are basic but have air con, a fan, a fridge, a tv with multiple channels & kept spotlessly clean by Jai who is a lovely guy and is always smiling & is a credit to the hotel. There is a small swimming pool at the hotel but we only used it a couple of times as we used the beach most days but it nice for a dip. There was a small selection for breakfast with eggs any way you like them, toast, fruit, fruit juice, tea & coffee which was perfectly fine for us but you could pay on top for English breakfast if you preferred. A special shout out to two guys who work at the hotel that we had the pleasure of meeting, Prim & Max, you’re fantastic guys, keep smiling & delivering the customer service that makes you both a huge asset to the hotel. Finally to Alisha & Lester, you are such lovely people & so approachable, you go out of your way to make your guests feel special & that is a sign of a great hotel. What a great little hotel as soon as we got there and met Alisha you knew it was going to be a great place. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the wonderful staff at the great hotel rooms were small but nice and clean if it’s a budget hotel this is the place with a great restaurant joined to it. It as its own little pool area and in easy reach from the beach and all shops and restaurants on the main road. Was our third time in candolim and first at this hotel but won’t be the last. Overall a great 2 weeks was had by all would definitely recommend

Nice hotel , conveniently located on beach road Staff were lovely, nothing was to much trouble I had problems sleeping with the mattress and they changed it twice for me until I was happy 😃 The rooms were clean , and towels changed daily . Food was good and we did have meals there other than breakfast have to say the eggs were always nice It was nice to hear that lots of people return year after year, and Alisha and Lester are a lovely couple . Looking to return next year

Alesha and Lester are the most amazing hosts! Their family values were so obvious to us when their daughters on-site. They were always asking how we were doing and if there was anything else that we needed, customer service at its finest. One thing was clear Alesha and Lester really respected each and every member of staff and in return all them from top to bottom give 100% In full filling their role effortlessly and always with a smile. ***y of them have worked there for 10 years or more, this in itself speaks volumes. The hotel rooms and the communal areas are kept very clean and the gardening was attended to regularly. We stayed in a superior room and the balcony was so tranquil. The room had everything we needed and the fridge was a perfect facility We used it every day to keep our Kingfisher and water cool. The pool area is lovely and there were on towel wars, I always found a sun bed. Breakfast was a very relaxed experience the staff knew who were residents and who were paying customers, and delivery of your choice of eggs and bread was prompt. The Sports Bar and restaurant is an absolute must on any stay in the Bags Calangute and Candolim area. The location was fantastic for getting to the beach and visiting the ***y different places of interest. The atmosphere when sporting events are being televised is great. The entertainment was also good I even got up for a dance. The food in the restaurant was fantastically tasty and great value. Overall we had a wonderful experience at this well positioned hotel.

Well we have stayed here previously before Covid and we had a brilliant experience We’re staying in the Superior Rooms and I was very ill last night and I went to see our house boy called Rabbi this morning and he was lovely telling me not to worry he would sort out the room, so a big shout out to this guy he was amazing

Second stay at this hotel and not disappointed. Easy booking and checkout. Staff as always very good. Breakfast is available at a reasonable cost. Evening entertainment and a good selection of food for dinner. Nice clean cool pool to relax in on return from beach. The hotel is ideally located quite close to Candolim beach.

Had a lovely stay at silver sands sunshine. All staff were very friendly and helpful. ***agement were lovely and there everyday if you needed them. TUI rep available everyday and was very helpful too. Changed rooms to premium. Everybody was so kind and helpful after I had been in hospital. Would recommend to friends and would definitely stay there again.

When we arrived we were greeted by the lovely Alisha and Lester 😁 after a long 4 years away it was like we had never been away. We had our lovely honeymoon here 7 years ago and realised its our wedding anniversary when we are here too Sunday where best to celebrate 🎉 We got our requested room after a short wait. Lovely room, always cleaned daily. Staff so friendly cant do enough for you. Food is lovely as always. Enjoying a few chilled days round the lovely pool, always get a lounger no problem. Love sitting on our balcony people watching, yes its a busy road but its to be expected its the main beach road. Pretty quiet after midnight i never have trouble getting off to sleep. Loved visiting some other favourite places whilst here. Still 6 days left but it's fabulous Mr & Mrs Sutcliffe 😁
